100% Pure Super Coke Is Killing Lads In The UK

So some blow Heisenberg is passing batches of 100% pure “Super Coke” around a seaside resort town in the southern UK. While that sounds dead-on like the plot of a Simon Pegg movie, police in Eastbourne warn that this crisis is no laughing matter.

The Eastbourne Herald reports that local Detective Inspector Neil Ralph has said, “Since April there have been a number of drug overdoses in the town, and two drug-related deaths […] Taking drugs in any form is dangerous, particularly when the user does not know the purity of the drug.”

Coke is normally cut with bulking agents – inert substances like glucose, or stuff that’ll numb your face, like benzocaine or phenacetin – to the point that it’s only around 25 percent to 40 percent pure. There’s no evidence as yet that the cocaine found in Eastbourne has made its way around the rest of the country.

While I wouldn’t be surprised if this stuff leaked out of Ed Sheeran’s tour bus, it seems like Super Coke made and continues to make its way to England off the Dark Web from China or Afghanistan or something — which means lives are still in danger.

Science has made doing drugs in the 21st century a bit like giving a blowjob to a rocket. They’ll get you high and blast you off fast and hard, which is fine if you know what the hell you’re doing. The problem is, the number of chemistry PhDs and anesthesiologists who are also drug addicts is lower than you might think. Basically, if you pop this Super Coke the same way you do with the shitty stuff you get from the guy at the back of the bar that calls himself “Dirty,” you’re going to be have a bad time (unless you enjoy death).

Obviously, it’s always safer to not do drugs. But if you do decide to do them, restraint, safety, and moderation is the name of the game. Don’t be the freshman who eats the entire batch of weed brownies; start small and adjust to the hit.
