14-Year-Old Son Of NHL Coach Makes Back-To-Back Aces

Fuck this kid.

A 14-year-old California kid made two consecutive holes in one on Tuesday. Cale McLellan, the son of San Jose Sharks Head Coach Todd McLellan, was taking part in a junior golf tournament at a par 3 course in San Jose when he nailed the back-to-back aces on the eight and ninth holes.

The holes ran 84 yards and 116 yards respectively, which kind of ticks me off, because that’s more like a chipping contest.

Cale ended up shooting 1 under par, finishing third overall. Here’s the clip as he walks onto the ninth green:

First off, I get that this kid just did the unimaginable, but I think the guy filming is a little too excited about the whole thing. The whole thing just comes off as creepy. Also, the kid in the bright yellow polo totally gets shot down for a high-five 50 seconds in. That one hurt to watch.

According to the National Hole In One Foundation, which apparently exists, the odds of an amateur hitting two sequential holes in one is 50 million to one. The tournament took place at a nine-hole, 913 yard course with a par of 27. Averaging 101 yards a hole, I guess that will help your odds at knocking in an ace or two. Maybe I’m reacting a little harshly.

But still, this kid is lucky as shit. I want to see his bracket.

Kid in the yellow feeling like Tom Brady as he was left hanging with the high five.

You’ve never heard of National Hole in One Foundation? Literally every year my company has a gold tournament with the 18th hole representing a $500,000 prize for a hole in one.
