6 Colorado High Schoolers Tried To Set Their School On Fire To Extend Spring Break
Illiterate teachers, future GDI poster children, and eight-hour days are just a few of the reasons high school is the bane of every teenager’s existence. There is plenty to hate, and hatred is one of a high school student’s most prolific emotions. Due to the exceptional monotony those four years provide us all, every break from school is highly sought and generally wasted.
Six Colorado high school students are in a bit of a pickle after they attempted to set their school ablaze using Molotov cocktails. Their reasoning? Spring break was too short.
From Daily Camera:
According to the police report, the six students — who were not identified because they are juveniles — went to the school on March 29 and filled bottles with gasoline to create Molotov cocktails, then ignited them before throwing them into the school through the broken windows.
The students told police they tried to set the school on fire to extend their spring break for a couple of days, and that they checked the parking lot to make sure nobody was in the building at the time.
The obvious amateurs failed to extend their vacation, yet succeeded in thoroughly ruining themselves in the process. It’s a real lose-lose situation if you ask me. When police arrived at the scene following their attempted arson, they found a plethora of items used in the incident, presumably coated in their finger prints.
Police found two broken windows and another window with smoke damage at the south entrance to the school, as well as two large rocks, a baseball bat, a lighter, a broken glass bottle and a charred cloth outside the windows.
Somehow, the imbeciles were spared for the time being and were suspended from school for ten days as an investigation is conducted. The police department even selected not to press charges and instead shipped the little bastards to a restorative justice program in the district attorney’s office.
According to reports, the pitiful attempt damaged the school to a tune of $1,500. A classic case of a horrible idea followed by an even worse execution..

11 years ago at 6:53 pmIn case you guys are wondering why all these high schoolers feel they belong on this site, stories like this are why. High schoolers are not frat and a college based website is not the place for stories about them.
11 years ago at 10:35 amAbout 25% of high school graduates go on to a 4-year college. Of those, about 15% will go Greek. So, you are correct. Out of 100 HS-era only 2 or 3 will belong to fraternities or sororities.
11 years ago at 11:46 amNeat.
11 years ago at 12:00 pmThat 25% seems a bit low. Where’s your stats from?
11 years ago at 1:52 pmI was correct anyway.
11 years ago at 1:10 amYeah if you live in some poor ass area
11 years ago at 12:03 pmAt least they got themselves a 10 day extension on their spring break
11 years ago at 10:35 amIf you’re gonna go through with a terrible idea, with an even worse justification, at least be successful ya jabronis.
11 years ago at 10:39 amBaseball bats and Molotov cocktails, sounds like someone’s been playing a little too much GTA.

11 years ago at 12:10 pmWhat this has to do with college or fraternities is beyond me. This site has become worthless besides the comment section of articles/pictures. I’m sure that’ll get restricted or maybe “Chiver” (if thats what they call them selves) comments will start showing up in comment sections on TFM in conjunction with ours. Get your heads out of your asses and restructure your content to your target audience
11 years ago at 12:13 pmSounds like that time of the month…. Perhaps TSM would be a better site for you, sweetheart.
