7 Shot At Panama City Beach
Spring break is meant to be a time to relax, have fun, and enjoy life. Yeah, sometimes things get out of hand, but for the most part, it’s a good time for all who choose to partake. Unfortunately, for a few spring breakers from Alabama, shit got a little too out of hand.
Over the weekend, law enforcement officers from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in Panama City Beach. A total of seven people were injured in the shooting, including three students from Alabama A&M.
Witnesses were able to assist in the identification of the suspected shooter, Davide Jamichael Daniels, now in custody, who hails from Mobile, Alabama.

A 40 caliber handgun matching the description of the one used in the shooting was recovered in the back yard of a residence on Beach Drive.
Daniels has been charged with seven counts of attempted murder and is currently in the Bay County Jail awaiting first appearance.
The victims were identified as: Kearria Freed, age 20, of Mobile, was shot in the head and remains in critical condition; Anesia Powell, age 20, was shot in the left arm, chest, and knee; Devanta Moore, age 21, was shot in the chest; Jacole Young, age 22, was shot in the back three times; Kelli Curry, age 21, was shot in the leg; Tykeria Ethridge, age 22, of Mobile, was shot in the neck and shoulder; Henton Franklin age 22, of Mobile, was shot in the side.
I’m not a lawyer or anything, but it certainly seems to me that the victims and the prime suspect may have known each other before the crime, indicating it wasn’t just a random act of violence.
The victims and the shooter are both from Alabama. In fact, both the shooter and several of the victims are from Mobile. Now, that could be a coincidence, but personally, I think something else went down.
Regardless of what happened, seven people were shot. As of Saturday afternoon, three of them were in critical condition, three were considered to be in stable condition, and one was undergoing surgery.
