Mixing Jack Daniels with Maker’s Mark Cigars…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..NF
^ This. But still, while Jack Daniel’s meets all the requirements to be classified as bourbon, the distillery refuses to call it bourbon, insisting that it is “Tennessee Straight Whiskey”.
^thats because they can’t call it bourbon. A whiskey can only be called a Bourbon if it’s made in Bourbon County, KY. Sorta like champagne and sparkling wine
^ You’re an idiot; first off, it only has to be made in Kentucky to be a Bourbon. Second, this guy would be shot in KY for not only drinking JD, but also smoking a Maker’s Mark cigar with it…what a waste of a great stoggie.
^And you’re an idiot as well. It does not have to be made in Kentucky to be labeled a bourbon. It can be made anywhere. There are bourbons from Indiana, Iowa and Oregon. It all comes down to new barrels, the proofing and the grain….and the word you were looking for was “stogie”.
Try the Arturo Fuente Don Carlos #2 or the Hemingway Classic. 8-5-8 maduros aren’t bad for the money, or even the Opusx if your local shop can get them. You can never go wrong with anything Fuente makes though.
Agreed. The Cabaiguan Guapos maduro is always a great cigar and anything under the Tatuaje label is always a great smoke, with the exception of those white label short fillers. The Padron 4000 maduro is my go to when I can’t get the 8-5-8. Has anyone else on here noticed a drop in quality on the regular line Padrons compared to the 1964 and 1926 lines?
^ Carrillo doesn’t make a bad cigar. The maduro is by far the best in the core line. You can pay a whole lot more for an Ashton or Montecristo and it still not be as good as his new wave Conneticut line. I tried a sample of his new cigar called the Inch that’s being released at IPCPR this weekend. Great flavor, it’s just a shame it’s a fucking 64 ring gauge. If you like the maduro check out his short run 2011 if you can find them. It’s got a corojo wrapper and is as good if not better than his maduro.
Where are people going to start the negativity with this one? Ice? NF. Table is weathered. That’s NF.

13 years ago at 1:48 amDon’t know why people would say this is NF, everyone would love to sit in the woods, drink bourbon and smoke a cigar.
13 years ago at 11:56 amJD isn’t bourbon. It’s charcoal filtered.
13 years ago at 12:31 pm…and you’re both homos

13 years ago at 9:24 amWhy would you buy those shitty Makers Mark cigars? They taste bad and smoke worse.
13 years ago at 12:26 pmSame reason why you did
13 years ago at 8:53 amMaker’s cigars were a poor choice. They taste awful, they’re overvalued and people only buy them because they’re dipped in wax.
13 years ago at 12:27 pmMaker’s Mark cigars = super TRY hard.
the least you could do is buy a COHIBA, they may be the PRL of cigars, but at least they aren’t shit like Makers.
13 years ago at 12:45 pmCohiba’s are poser Cubans and they’re for try hards. CAO makes some good ones and Padrons are always good. Can’t go wrong with an Oliva either.
13 years ago at 4:45 pmAgreed. Oliva Serie V’s are great if you like more of a full body smoke.
13 years ago at 5:14 pmSan Cristobal Francisco. Trust me, you won’t be sorry.

13 years ago at 12:13 am^^^^ Padrons are the only way to go if you can’t get your hands on some cubans.
