Jose Canseco: “If you didn’t take steroids, you were just a pussy”
Jose Canseco, 1988 AL MVP and twitter crazy person, is once again making news with an interesting video recently released on “Steroids.com.” Canseco, one of the biggest attention seeking athletes of all time, has always been pretty truthful, though. In his 2005 book “Juiced,” Canseco’s accusations of steroid use proved to be true much more often than not. Now that the witch hunt for steroid users is over in baseball, it’s no surprise to anyone how much juicing has happened. Still grasping onto his dreams of being relevant, Canseco found a way to send even more buzz into the steroid conversation.
In the video, Canseco makes claims including, “Injecting steroids into your ass is a team building experience” and “You just weren’t willing to make the sacrifice for the team if you weren’t juicing…a total pussy.” It’s not exactly clear what Canseco is trying to do with this video, whether it be further the truth or to just have an excuse to flex his man chesticles. The video subject is “What are the most awesome steroids out there?,” and Canseco delivers his expert testimony from what seems like his bedroom.
While steroids are inherently against the rules, its clearly against Canseco’s morality to do anything but take steroids. It’s hard to really be upset with Canseco, he was doing everything he could to win and be the absolute best. If that’s not American, I don’t know what is.
