Guy, Northern New England is as country as the North gets. And Vermont may have a bit of a hippie problem, but it is at heart a rural, small-government-minded state. For example, concealed carry without a permit is still entirely legal.
^^ I’d agree with his list. Contrary to anything JParks has to say, the Volunteer State is as frat as they come.
Tennessee has two (count ’em) SEC schools (1 of only 3 states), both of which have solid-to-excellent Greek life, the Governor, both state Senators, and the owner of the state’s NFL team are all fraternity men (and alumni of the same fraternity, to boot – IH) in addition to numerous other state politicians, and the location of the national headquarters of at least 4 prominent Greek organizations (Sigma Pi, AOII, KD, and Pike).
On top of that, Tennessee consistently and overwhelmingly votes Republican, we have no income tax, a balanced budget amendment, have been voted one of the most business-friendly states, and have lenient gun laws.
Oh, and we’re the patron state of shootin’ stuff. Yeah.
Gay.
