University Of Virginia’s Website Got Hacked By Some Creepy Twitter Account
It looks like it’s all good now, but as of 9:30 PM eastern, UVa’s .edu was hacked and displayed this homescreen:
Ominous, right? After about five seconds of sitting idle on this page, it was redirected to the Root The Box twitter account in some kind of odd — likely extremely ineffective — guerilla marketing ploy. I don’t know what Root The Box is, but I’m not about to look into it.
