Rich Rodriguez And The U. Of Arizona Coaching Staff Release Promo For Upcoming Season, Dressed As Cowboys

Well, there’s not much to say about this Wildcat football promo spot, other than it’s downright awesome. As a Big 10 alumnus, I’m the furthest thing from a fan of Rich Rod, and knowing people who have played under him, I’ve heard he isn’t the most genuine guy either. However, you’ve got to appreciate the entertainment value that the University of Arizona’s athletic department got out of this trailer.

And the best part? Rodriguez’s wife actually directed the spot — just a little more padding for the family bank account.

I can’t say I know how the Wildcats will fare in Pac-12 play this coming year following up 2012’s 8-5 record, but I can tell you that last year’s loss at home to rival Arizona State, 34-41, did cost me a pretty penny. Rich Rod & co. blew an early lead and the Wildcats’ secondary got turned inside out too many times to count.

If the production value here is any indication of the team’s upcoming season, then they’re going undefeated.
