Cheerleading Squads To Look Forward To This NCAA Season
With the 2013 college football season FINALLY upon us, we can now start the countdown clock towards the impending death of the epitome of lackluster that is the current BCS format. Hopefully, you’re all rejoicing this fact as much as me, because I cannot wait until the NCAA finally comes to terms with how every other sporting contest in America is decided: playoffs. Only one more year, dammit.
That said, with this season also comes a myriad of storylines ranging from preseason Heisman hopefuls (#Clowney – I’d love to say I witnessed only the 2nd player in history not starting as an RB or QB bring home the stiff-arm), the likelihood that we’ll see continued SEC dominance (with my team, the Nittany Lions legally out of contention, I’ll tip my hat to the best conference in the land and guess that we’ll see our National Champion come out of the deep South), and new draft classes ready to prove themselves to the nation (will Ole Miss legitimately do anything with all the 5 star prospects they landed?), that will surely provide some great entertainment value as Autumn falls across this great country.
Another thing I can’t wait for? Well, that’d be the ESPN cameramen at their best with the perfect perspective shots of each school’s respective cheerleaders when they’re coming in and out of commercial break. Don’t get me wrong, I love my football, but I live for the sideline eye-candy, of which, the great gentlemen behind the lens always make sure there’s plenty of to go around.
Without further adieu then, I present you with ten cheerleading squads to root for this season, even if you’re rooting against their team on the field. Order’s irrelevant here, because in my book, all these girls are winners.
*Note – Cheerleaders/Dance Teams/Majorettes may be grouped together, because IDGAF.
Texas Tech
Despite not making much of an on-field impact since Crabtree graduated, there’s no dispute these ladies are still top-notch.
Florida State
TCU
There’s just something about those white shorts and boots that gets my horned frog excited…
Oregon
No hesitation in saying they might just be the best-looking squad in the nation. Quack.
LSU
Let’s. Geaux.
Missouri
Although the football team may be subpar, the amount of blondes on the sidelines cheering for them is not.
Texas
Those chaps, they’ve got me hooked.
Alabama
The defending National Champs bring the heat with both their cheer squad and the majorette team. Those batons do it for me every time.
USC
There’s just something about knowing these chicks still wear the same attire as when OJ was busy cultivating his Heisman trophy campaign in ’68. Timeless class, on which the cheerleaders garb in Animal House was loosely based.
Did I omit any worthy ladies? Sound off in the comments, fellas.
