      I feel you buddy, My grandpa was 29th infantry second wave on Omaha beach, moved into liberate St.Lo and continued through Europe. Came back home, married his gal and worked in the Delco Remy factory for 40 some years. The greatest generation without a doubt.

      I’m glad to finally see some friendly conversations on here. My grandfather fought in the pacific theater on Guadal Canal and the Canary Islands. I agree definitely the greatest generation of Anericans

    This reminds me of my next door neighbor who was a B-24 pilot in Europe from 1943-1945, use to love hearing his stories of bombing raids over Germany. Truly a great generation of Americans. Rest in Peace Colonel.
