10 Costume Ideas For Pledges
The awesome thing about having pledges is they will do whatever you tell them to do, be it a menial task around the house during house cleanup, or a humiliating public stunt. This simple reality is easily exploitable on Halloween. You can put them in whichever costume you can think of. Here are 10 ideas:
1. Miley/Wrecking Ball Combo
Two pledges — one is Miley, the other is a wrecking ball. If you can situate the dual costume so that Miley is riding the wrecking ball, that’s ideal. At minimum, they should be conjoined at all times. Minimal clothing is recommended.
2. Any Character that is Bald
Any excuse to shave a pledge’s head and give him the classic, U-shaped male pattern baldness, and you’ve got a winner. It’d be even funnier if the character you choose is someone really obscure just to drive the point home that all you really wanted was a reason to shave his head.
3. Speed Bump
It’s extremely demeaning. Demeaning is good. He’ll get stepped on a lot, too, and that’s funny.
4. Rush Boobs
Give him the required task of acquiring letters from all sororities accounted for at the party, and he must take pictures with all of them.
5. A Composite Photo
A live composite photo. He’ll have to cut out a place for his head to go, wear a suit, and stay picture-ready at all times during the evening. Give him a solid name, too — something humiliating.
6. A Stuffed Animal
Any kind will do, as long as it’s a full-body costume. It’s a classic, but he’ll be hot as hell in there, and miserable. It’s also a very punchable costume.
7. Waldo
Make it a requirement that he appears in the backdrop of every single photo taken at the party.
8. Kenny Powers
Again, the hair. You find an excuse to cut a pledge’s hair into something absurd. The Kenny Powers power mullet is perfect.
9. A Baby
Save the baby costume for your fattest pledge. Use a white sheet to fashion into a diaper. Shit’s gonna be hilarious.
10. A Fire
An old TFM classic. He’s to be seen and not heard for the entirety of the evening.
