(VIDEO) Someone Yelled “Go Gators” At The Press Conference For Jameis Winston’s Accuser’s Lawyer

This morning, Patricia Carroll, the attorney representing the woman who accused Heisman frontrunner and FSU quarterback Jameis Winston of sexually assaulting her, held a press conference calling for an independent Attorney General’s Office investigation of the case and of the Tallahassee Police Department.

Serious stuff. Probably not the time or place to flaunt your college football fandom. Well, except in the south, where, to paraphrase Shakespeare, all the world’s a stadium in which you’re hammered drunk on cheap beer and shouting terrible things at people wearing different colors than you. So, naturally, during Carroll’s discussion with the media about how she believes her client’s rape investigation was mishandled, a Florida Gator fan decided to demonstrate his loyalty with a hearty, “GOOOO GATORS!” Carroll was not amused. Here’s a video of the incident.

You stay classy, Gator fans.

This basically describes how deep college football runs down here in the SEC. Imagine going to a funeral as mourners whisper ‘Roll Tide’ to the deceased.

Patricia Carroll, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
