X Gon’ Give It To George Zimmerman
The notorious ex-neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman has agreed to take part in a celebrity boxing match next month, according to promoter Damon Feldman.
His opponent? DMX.
I couldn’t make this shit up if I tried.
For those of you who don’t know, George Zimmerman was the pretend cop who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in 2012.
It was a huge ordeal, and although Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter, he was acquitted last July. Zimmerman has since become the infamous poster boy for racism and brutality across the country. But he’s a free man, so now I guess he’s considered a celebrity. That’s how things work nowadays.
Feldman is paying Zimmerman, along with whoever is chosen of the nearly 15,000 applicants who have reached out with interest to join him in the ring. For what it’s worth, Zimmerman will supposedly donate his proceeds to charity. It is reported that last week, rapper The Game (who clocks in at 6 feet 4 inches and 240 pounds) challenged Zimmerman on TMZ Live, but that Feldman declined.
That being said, Zimmerman, who is 5 feet 7 inch, has been training recently. I, for one, would have loved to see The Game fuck him up. I personally think the guy is a pig, but we try not to get too controversial or political here at TFM. We tend to leave that to washed-out rappers and racist neighborhood watchman.
Enter DMX into the conversation. (Let it be known, these are his actual quotes.)
“I am going to beat the living fuck out him.”
Right on, DMX. Fuck yeah. Looks like we found our guy.
“I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I fuck him right up.”
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I love your passion and intensity.
“Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my dick out and piss on him.”
Whoa, take it easy, X.
“Right in his motherfucking face.”
Too far, dude. Too far.
“Zimmerman is a piece of shit and that’s what he needs to drink.”
Well I maybe understand your logic now, I guess…
Keep in mind that DMX is 43 and Zimmerman is 30.
This is not a done deal, but as of Feb. 5, it was reported that DMX still wanted to talk money. I think the verbal agreement to go all R. Kelly on him seems contractually binding enough, but that’s just me.
For the record, DMX’s supposed net worth is -$10 million. Yes, you read that right, negative ten mill. Like the opposite of $10 million. So hey, beating the shit out of Zimmerman could maybe sell a couple extra records next time he releases something.
DMX sees this as an opportunity of retribution for “every black person who has been done wrong in the system.”
However, Feldman disagrees. “We’re not looking at it as a race thing … We haven’t discussed purple, yellow, white, black.”
The three-round match is set for March 1 and it should be one for the ages.
Zimmerman has stated he wants to fight Kanye West, for, ironically enough, attacking “defenseless people.” I’m sure we’d all love to see Yeezus and Zimm duke it out.
If you want a shot, email fightgeorge@hotmail.com for your chance to fight Zimmerman. That’s right, they even made a Hotmail account for this. Shit’s legit.
Of course, we will keep you updated as this story unfolds. Never fear, TFMers, we’re here for you.

Zimmerman was never a cop.
11 years ago at 3:17 pmIt says ‘pretend cop.’ I think he was making a joke.

11 years ago at 4:00 pmWhat the fuck happened? Did someone piss off Bacon when he was hating on us?
11 years ago at 3:42 pmThe TFM nerd is a fucking loser. He’s like the fat cop that gets off to citing college kids.
11 years ago at 4:56 pmDo some research next time, champ.
11 years ago at 3:19 pmFirst off, George Zimmerman was not a police officer when he killed Martin, nor was he ever. I believe he was a security guard at best.
Second, this George Zimmerman boxing thing is disgusting and disheartening. Whether or not you think he was justified in killing Trayvon Martin, you should be disgusted that he is acquiring fame and profiting from it.
11 years ago at 3:20 pmWell first of all, he wasn’t the one to think up of this boxing match, he just accepted the invitation given to him. Secondly the article says he will donate any winnings to charity, so he really isn’t profiting from it.
11 years ago at 3:25 pm1) He applied to a police academy at one point. Not sure what happened to that but he never was a cop.
2) He was head of the neighborhood watch which the local PD helped set up and advise.
3) He wasn’t convicted for a reason
Frankly this isn’t any more shocking than Amy Fisher and Joey Buttafuoco becoming famous. Zimmerman wasn’t convicted for several reasons.
11 years ago at 3:28 pm1-2.) Being a part of the neighborhood watch doesn’t mean you should be labeled a police officer. There’s a HUGE difference between being a neighborhood watch “captain” and being an officer of the law.
3.) Is that relevant? He went through his trial, and he was acquitted and I have don’t have any problems with that, when one considers that prosecutions arguments in consideration with the lack of evidence to prove 2nd degree murder (in my opinion, I would have pursued manslaughter).
As for the charity, please understand that his guy Feldman is a boxing promoter, and boxing promoters aren’t the most altruistic individuals. Profits will be made on both sides(Zimmerman and DMX) and the notoriety this brings to someone of his circumstances is troubling and I’d hate to see other people seek out to be a hero and kill someone, with the thought that they could make money off of the fame the media attention will bring.
Then again, maybe this isn’t the best place for an argument like this, given this is a comedic, and satirical website, but I thought I’d share my views on this thing.
**sidenote: DMX is in his 40s and has been on crack for lord knows how long. This isn’t your late 90s, early 2000s badass.**
11 years ago at 3:51 pmI wasn’t labeling Martin a policeman. You can clearly note that in the sentence where I saw “he was never a cop.” He wasn’t a rent-a-cop either, as you opined. He was a guy who was asked to help report things to police and the neighborhood had been burgled by a bunch of young black men over the last two months. It might have been an asshole thing to do, but trying to clear up a situation with someone you don’t recognize isn’t out of bounds. Beating the shit out of someone because you think they might gay rape you — thank Jeantel for that one — is clearly out of bounds. A manslaughter charge was also an option for the jury and they chose to acquit, so even if your ideal world he walks because of lack of evidence supporting just about anything the prosecution said.
I don’t really have a problem with it. This is stuff that has been done a billion times before. Seriously look up Amy Fisher. Tanya Harding got her 15 minutes post jail-time. Just accept it and realize this money is going to go to help some people out. Hopefully it’ll also let DMX get out of debt so he can make more awesome music.
11 years ago at 10:12 amUnderinformed media reporter with liberal sensibilities? Never!
11 years ago at 3:21 pmExactly
11 years ago at 3:30 pm“For those of you who don’t know, George Zimmerman was the Florida police officer…”
Guess you don’t actually know either. He wasn’t an officer, he was part of a neighborhood watch for a gated community. Jesus does anyone fact check for “news” anymore?
11 years ago at 3:22 pmGoogle must be down. Who was the editor for this? Ruger dern?
11 years ago at 3:24 pmThis is a horrible charity event but seeing this headline has me dying with laughter
11 years ago at 3:25 pmAnd fighting out of the red corner George “stand your ground” ZZZZZZIMERAAAAN
11 years ago at 3:26 pmBoth guys are trying to resurrect their career. DMX wants to make dish out a few more hits, and Zimmerman wants to commit another hate crime.
