UGA Sends Out Personalized Sketches To Recruits And They Are Awesome

Damn, I miss college football. There is nothing else in this world that can take the place of 5 a.m. screwdrivers and noise complaints before sunrise. Every offseason brings us new stories about nontraditional recruiting methods the always creative college football coaches come up with, but this idea might just be the best one yet.

The University of Georgia has been sending out hand-drawn sketches to recruits, along with mostly generic notes from head coach Mark Richt. The sketches feature the recruits wearing their high school jerseys on the left half and the Georgia jersey on the right half.

While some are pretty damn impressive, others are just awful.

I believe we found the fugitive pissing suspect from the University of Florida. Don’t worry, ladies. He’s back home in Georgia.

Poor Roquan came out looking like a bug-eyed alien. The artist must have been high as giraffe nuts while sketching this one. I give it a three out of 10.

This is one recruit I would not fuck with. His badassery level is through the roof, and if his sketch is any indication of his skill level, he’ll annihilate opponents at the next level.

This sketch wins the “Most Generic Black Man” award. The artist seems to have injected a few syringes into D’Andre’s ass and come out with Barry Bond’s mugshot. Oh well, he tried.

All in all, the artist’s creations serve their purpose. Laugh now, but players love this crap and I wouldn’t be shocked if Georgia pulled a recruit or two thanks to this. It wouldn’t hurt to hire a better artist, though, Mark. Recruits don’t appreciate being compared to serial urinators and steroid-abusing meatheads.
