This past weekend, college football stadiums across the country opened their doors, kicking off the annual tradition of spring games. The wonderful pastime provides adoring fans a slim glimpse into their teams’ abilities, which the teams hope to showcase on the gridiron full-time, come late August.

Often, these inter-squad contests are lighthearted to say the least, and the players and coaching staff on the field usually find a way to connect with the the fans in attendance. This surely proved to be the case at Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday, when a student took on linebacker Sherard Cadogan in an epic midfield dance-off shortly before the fourth quarter was supposed to begin.

The student went balls to the wall, tearing off his shirt à la Hulk Hogan, and hell, I think I would’ve done the same thing if confronted by an enormous football player backed by every single one of his teammates. The student’s moves rival those of Napolean Dynamite’s.

Some critics might give the nod to Cadogan and his teammates for the sheer size of their performance, but the UW fan took this one home in my book. The shoe-flip to duck waddle might be the best way to enter a dance circle I’ve ever seen.

Apparently, the dance-off is somewhat of an annual tradition at Camp Randall, as the fan reportedly had to compete for the opportunity. He had to submit a video to the university in order to win the contest.

I can only imagine what the contents of that video were…

Wisconsin… So white that a white guy can beat a black football player in a dance off. Miracles do happen.
