The Maryland KA Room Draft Returns, And It’s Amazing

Most chapters around the country use their Twitter accounts as boring PR façades for the debauched shit that goes down behind closed doors. Kappa Alpha Order at the University of Maryland doesn’t use its account that way, though. The members have gone so far as to live-tweet various chapter events with commentary so great, it could bump Skip Bayless off of ESPN if KA’s social media guy wanted his job. The chapter recently tweeted about its yearly housing draft, and even out of context, the draft is a good time for anyone who wants to watch it on social media.

Enjoy, via Storify:

“The housing draft is a game of rooms. And when you play a game of rooms, you win or you get put in a quad.” -UMD KA

That, gentlemen, is how you do a room selection. You could practically do an ESPN “30 for 30” on this thing.

Nedd Stark would approve. He’d also end up in the quad. Follow @KA_UMD to see the fraternity’s semesterly shenanigans unfold.

Why do headline news stations focus on things like MH370, of which nothing has happened of note in two months, when the real interesting stories could be reported. Like these young lads and their “Game of Rooms.”
