I work for the Flyers marketing department – police have been investigating and according to several of the ushers the Rangers fans refused to leave the stadium after being warned twice by security for their behavior. One of the Rangers fans threw a beer in the face of the usher trying to help him – beer hit the surrounding Flyers fans, some words were exchanged and the Rangers fan threw a punch at a Flyers fan.
At that point the Philly faithful let those Rangers fan exactly who’s house they were in. At this time no charges have been brought against either party, but apparently those Rangers fans are now banned from Wells Fargo Center. Don’t mess with Philly!
Thats some brave blue in a sea of orange.
