Amarillo is a city in pan handle Texas. It is a staple in the country music/rodeo scene. In my opinion its become quite the gimmick for modern country music. If you want to listen to real country music listen to Hank Williams, Merl Haggard, David Allen Coe or any of the Outlaw artist of the past.
Old and new country music are not mutually exclusive. I can enjoy Hank and Merl one day and then Toby Keith and Old Crow the next without it being a “gimmick.”
Just making the point that I can enjoy different kinds of country without it being sacrilegious, cool your tits. I might respect your comment if it was anything other an impassioned defense of your “Wagon Wheel” boner, but it’s not. Not to say “Wagon Wheel” isn’t a great song, just to say that you wouldn’t know another Old Crow song if it hit you with a South-bound train.
