49ers Fans Can Now Get Beer Delivered Straight To Their Seat

The San Francisco 49ers used to play in a terribly dilapidated stadium. Candlestick Park was a punchline in the NFL. It didn’t have the appeal of old stadiums, such as Wrigley or Fenway–it just sucked.

The 49ers don’t play there anymore. The team’s new home is Levi’s Stadium, a state of the art facility in San Jose, Calif.

With a stadium in the heart of technology country, you knew to expect some sweet amenities. The best is probably the new application where fans can get beer and concessions delivered straight to their seat. This is being hailed as the future of game day concessions.

San Francisco fans were able to experience the nerdiness for the first time last night.

Not everybody liked it, though. The system stalled out on a lot of users and left fans really pissed off with the NiNerds–the technology geeks who teach fans how to use the new 49ers app onsite. Some had to wait more than an hour for beer, and others were completely ignored.

That wasn’t the only bullshit fans had to deal with, either–the price point on the beer is absurd.

Now all we have to do is wait for the 49ers to unveil full denim uniforms and the nerd-out will be complete.

Stupid, innovative Californians. Just walk to the concession stand like everybody else.

Blows my mind that they get away with charging 10 bucks a beer…and that I keep buying them

They’ve delivered beer to your seat in club level for 10 years… This isn’t ground breaking news.

At almost every stadium ive been to there has been a guy selling beer row to row. This is not a new thing, theres just more bullshit involved.
