A List Of The Top 25 Most Expensive College Football Games This Year
Yesterday, Forbes released a list of the 25 most expensive college football games of the 2014 season. The most expensive ticket, once again, was Eastern Michigan at Toledo on Sept. 27, coming in at $11.50. Oh, wait–I read that wrong. Obviously, the Iron Bowl rematch between Alabama and Auburn in Tuscaloosa tops the list, with a price point of $535 per ticket. I shouldn’t have to remind you about what happened last year, but I will anyway.
At $525, Michigan versus Notre Dame–which is the second week of the season–is the second most expensive game to attend.
Of the 25 most expensive games, 12 feature teams from the SEC, including seven of the top 10. College football is a southern thing, after all.
The formula Forbes used combines face value and resale value. The entire list is below.
