Rick Perry Turns Himself In For Incredible Mugshot, Leaves Jail To Get Ice Cream
On Friday of last week, Texas Governor and Pantene Shampoo Spokesperson Rick Perry was indicted on two felony counts of abuse of power.
He is accused of being a bully and trying to take out a local district attorney by basically vetoing anything and everything that comes out of this DA’s office. It’s pretty sketchy stuff, but then again, so is charging the governor with two felonies just for being a douche.
Going to jail means taking a mugshot, and Perry put that off until yesterday, when he visited the Travis County Justice Center in Austin for this incredible photo:

Perry’s time in jail was short. After posing for the police, he and his goons headed to Sandy’s in Austin for some ice cream. It was a tough day for Mr. Governor. He just needed some strawberry sherbert.

Perry then jetted off to some other part of the country to host a political fundraiser because he still wants to be president. Only in Texas, y’all.

10 years ago at 10:31 amI’m 100% with you on Rand Paul. But if you look at this case, Perry did nothing morally or ethically wrong. People need to realize that the right thing to do is not always the legal thing to do. He was trying to withhold power (in the form of taxpayer dollars) from a public official that every one agrees is incompetent, but, very hard to remove from office. He did the right thing, and that’s why almost every one, including many Democrats, and their flagship publication, the New York Times, is defending him.

The DA, who works for a unit that deals with political corruption, was caught drunk driving. Perry threatened to veto the funding to the group if she didn’t step down. She didn’t step down and instead decided to charge him with corruption, hence the mugshot.

10 years ago at 1:28 pmI can’t stand the guy for more than one reason. I think he’s over-stayed his welcome in the mansion and he denied my request to be buried in the state cemetery.
Abbott helped a city in north Texas keep it’s waterpark in the middle of a drought, while the city increases water rates on the citizens. Being a lawyer, he blurs the lines to easily and I’m not sure that’s what we need. Don’t get me started on the other side of the isle. I’m not a big fan of anyone who wants that office, right now.
