Rick Perry Turns Himself In For Incredible Mugshot, Leaves Jail To Get Ice Cream

On Friday of last week, Texas Governor and Pantene Shampoo Spokesperson Rick Perry was indicted on two felony counts of abuse of power.

He is accused of being a bully and trying to take out a local district attorney by basically vetoing anything and everything that comes out of this DA’s office. It’s pretty sketchy stuff, but then again, so is charging the governor with two felonies just for being a douche.

Going to jail means taking a mugshot, and Perry put that off until yesterday, when he visited the Travis County Justice Center in Austin for this incredible photo:

Perry’s time in jail was short. After posing for the police, he and his goons headed to Sandy’s in Austin for some ice cream. It was a tough day for Mr. Governor. He just needed some strawberry sherbert.

Perry then jetted off to some other part of the country to host a political fundraiser because he still wants to be president. Only in Texas, y’all.

Ok, this is cool and all, but somehow I think it is mildly concerning that a Republican version of Obama (doing everything with no political process at all) is being seriously considered for President. That said,

I’m 100% with you on Rand Paul. But if you look at this case, Perry did nothing morally or ethically wrong. People need to realize that the right thing to do is not always the legal thing to do. He was trying to withhold power (in the form of taxpayer dollars) from a public official that every one agrees is incompetent, but, very hard to remove from office. He did the right thing, and that’s why almost every one, including many Democrats, and their flagship publication, the New York Times, is defending him.

It shouldn’t be as difficult as it is to remove people from power that derserve to be. The system has made it too hard for corrupt or incompetent government officials to be removed.

If we could remove incompetent people then the majority of national government public sector officials would be fired.

No better way to abuse power by than letting yourself out of jail to get ice cream.

In case “vetoing anything and everything that comes out of this DA’s office,” didn’t make sense to anybody else, here’s the story:

The DA, who works for a unit that deals with political corruption, was caught drunk driving. Perry threatened to veto the funding to the group if she didn’t step down. She didn’t step down and instead decided to charge him with corruption, hence the mugshot.

Which, it seems, is completely legal by the Texas constitution. Apparently the court that issued the indictment has had a history of partisan prosecution. Just democrats being pussies, as always.

How about you do some research before demonstrating your ineptitude. Leave the political stuff to other people “SportsGuy”, you politically incompetent, liberal fuck.

I can’t stand the guy for more than one reason. I think he’s over-stayed his welcome in the mansion and he denied my request to be buried in the state cemetery.

Abbott helped a city in north Texas keep it’s waterpark in the middle of a drought, while the city increases water rates on the citizens. Being a lawyer, he blurs the lines to easily and I’m not sure that’s what we need. Don’t get me started on the other side of the isle. I’m not a big fan of anyone who wants that office, right now.

I might not be from Texas, but if this is the first time I heard of Greg Abbott, clearly he is less liked than Rick Perry.

Get to know him, he’s a Delt from UT, was on the Texas Supreme Court, and is currently our Attorney General. His well balanced political career makes him an excellent future presidential nominee that can actually change what is happening in Washington.

Ease up Rick Perry Jr. It was a harmless news article on a satire site.

Congrats Democrats you just gave Rick Perry a platform for 2016. Seriously like you had the whole Obama impeachment talk working for you then you go and try and take down Perry?
