Duke Goes Old School With 8-Bit Scoreboard For Saturday’s Throwback Game
Dear gamer nerds, long before you were able to immerse yourselves into a 3-D world and talk to other nerds around the globe through a headset, we used to play video games using what’s called an 8-bit processor. The graphics were two dimensional and, well, shitty. But the games were killer. Ever hear of the Nintendo Entertainment System?
Sadly, many of you will never know the unbridled joy of finally getting Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out! to work after blowing into the cartridge for 30 minutes. Those were better times.
Duke football gets it. In honor of their throwback game this Saturday against Tulane, their video board will be using 8-bit graphics.
