New Rendering Of Golden State Warriors’ Stadium In San Francisco Looks Like A Toilet
I guess when the Golden State Warriors make the move from Oakland to San Francisco, they want to have something to remind them of where they came from, and the only reason I can make that joke is because I’m (very quietly) a Pistons fan.
Beyond the questionable design of the new facility, which a Warriors spokesperson has said was released to receive feedback from the community, is the fact that the Warriors are actually leaving Oakland. They have a streak of 79 consecutive sold-out home games, and last season, they had the second highest total attendance in franchise history.
Oakland’s mayor, Jean Quan, has said that the city of Oakland has been hard at work preparing new stadium opportunities for all of its teams, and that the Warriors are welcome in those plans if the owners decide to change their minds.
Maybe if the city builds them a stadium that looks like literally anything besides a toilet, the team may be convinced to stay.

11 years ago at 3:24 pmSwitch in astroturf and put up a couple field goal posts and you’re looking at the new home of the Browns.
11 years ago at 4:32 pmMy question is why the Browns didn’t jump on this stadium design first.
