Amy Poehler Of “Parks and Rec” Admits She Used To Really Enjoy Doing Cocaine And Playing Ping Pong
Normally the headline “Actress Likes Cocaine!” isn’t exactly breaking news. Though, maybe “Living, Successful Actress And Seemingly Normal Human Being Likes Cocaine!” might be. Still, Amy Poehler has played the adorably wholesome, Type A Leslie Knope on “Parks and Recreation” long enough to make you forget she’s been around the block in Hollywood, and that she’s actually a notoriously dirty comic most of the time, which makes hearing that she used to enjoy blow a little surprising. But hey, Hollywood.
The admission is an excerpt from Poehler’s upcoming memoir, Yes, Please, which was taken by Radar from the chapter “Obligatory Drug Stories.”
“I tried cocaine, which I instantly loved but eventually hated,” the Saturday Night Live alum, 44, confesses in a chapter titled “Obligatory Drug Stories.” “Cocaine is terrific if you want to hang out with people you don’t know very well and play Ping-Pong all night. It’s bad for almost everything else…The day after cocaine is rough.”
Hilarious? Loves cocaine and ping pong? Seriously, how can one woman be so damn enjoyable?.
