The Atlanta Braves Can’t Even Win A Game In The Renderings Of Their New Stadium

The city of Atlanta will soon enjoy two luxurious new stadiums. Although the beauty of the new stadiums may not always equate to attractive and successful play on the field, that is a tad bit too far into the future to predict.

No one expected Fresno State to win the College Baseball World Series in 2008. Who saw the New Orleans Saints defeating the Colts in the 2009 Super Bowl? Sports are only slightly easier to successfully predict than my ex-girlfriend’s disposition every morning, and those odds were highly improbable.

If anyone should spread an aura of confidence and optimism, it should be the team itself. Well, unless you’re the Atlanta Braves and you can’t quite pull your head far enough out of your ass to make it through the seemingly impenetrable NL Division Series.

The Braves released a rendering of their alluring new stadium, and, if you believe in the power of foreshadowing, the future is not as luminous as Atlanta sports fans would like.

When zoomed out, the new digs look innocent enough. It’s a dazzling, modern stadium, complete with everything a professional baseball player could ask for.

However, if we zoom in on the scoreboard, the Braves are down 6-3. Oh.

Optimism! I love it.

The Braves’ social media team did a damn good job taking it all in stride and turning an embarrassing oversight into a joke.

Take a breath, Atlanta. One of your teams has to win something eventually.

I can bet that Bacon is most likely harder than Dorno at a playground after seeing this.

Like all the other signs, advertisements, and lights directed towards that soccer field and building?

Do your research. The screen was taken from Washington’s park where the Braves are actually winning 6-3.

I know exactly where it came from. The Braves used that screen to portray a future scoreboard in their home ballpark. When at home, the Braves’ score will be on the bottom, therefore, they are losing in their rendering. Jesus Christ.

Well the firm that created the rendering made the error, the Braves just didn’t give it a once-over

That would be a negative, sport. The home team’s lineup always appears to right of the visitor’s. So regardless of the stadium facade, as Zjewell said, the Bravos are winning.

“One of your teams eventually has to win something” See you say that, but it usually means they win the division then get bounced in the first round of the playoffs. Sad life being an Atlanta sports fan.

Agreed, I can’t even root for the Falcons anymore and the Hawks are a joke. Still love the Bravos though. I miss the Thrashers (even though they sucked).

You should watch a Hawks game once this season before calling them a joke. They’re actually pretty damn good.

3 runs on 10 hits? Seems pretty damn accurate for the Braves if you ask me.

…And this is coming from a Braves fan

Can’t make the NLDS? Funny cause we won our division 14 years in a row not too long ago.
