Army Sergeant And Former Sniper Roasts Michael Moore For Calling Snipers Cowards
Something that has been ingrained in me from an early age is to always respect the men and women who risk their lives so we can enjoy our freedom here at home. Respect shows no bias for a certain job in the military, and all who serve should be treated equally. Director Michael Moore apparently doesn’t share the same sentiment for our troops. On Sunday, he took to Twitter to further strengthen this notion.

Yeah? You’re the real coward here, Mr. Moore. If we didn’t have the cover from snipers, our men and women doing raids would go in blindly with no support. Snipers are heroes, just like the rest of our servicemen and women. Earlier today, Fox News brought Sgt. Nick Irving onto “Fox & Friends.” Irving, who was also a sniper, earned the nickname “The Reaper” for his impressive record. He also is the author of the book “The Reaper.”
The show’s hosts asked him about his thoughts on Michael Moore’s tweet and whether or not Moore should have been thanking him instead of insulting him. Here was his response:

Return of Kings: The article is clearly generalizing “liberals” and is making it’s own definition of one demographic–liberals. I honestly can’t take it seriously and believed it was written as unbiased as possible due to the poor construction of the article.
DailyCaller: You must have linked the wrong article. There isn’t a list of famous people who have publicly supported radical Islam. What I see in that particular article is, in fact, a handful of people who are defending the common Muslim. Not radical Muslims. We all need to understand that ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban, etc. are not acting in the name of Islam. They are killing in the name of power. The terrorists could be killing in the name of God, Allah, Mary, Abraham, Buddha, whoever you choose and their acts of war would remain the same. They operate on a plan to deface a religion to gain control over people they have, over many many years, sheltered and brainwashed in to believing their ways. Let’s look at the Crusades and the Inquisition, for example. If those Christians were truly acting in the name of God, then why aren’t we doing those same things now? Those dark times of Christianity were created through the corruption of power within the Papacy and Roman Empire.
The Islam we see murdering and torturing innocent people is not Islam. It is terrorism. When we decide to generalize Islam as a violent and terrorizing religion, then they have won. Fuck the terrorists, fuck ISIS.

He was simply comparing them as snipers. Maybe should have gone with Jackson from Saving Private Ryan, but to each his own I guess. Rogen guy just made a movie that was a big F-you to Kim Jong-Un, he is ok in my book. This is yet another perfect example of how “journalism’ at least in the blogosphere has absolutely gone to the dogs. These ‘journalists’ (left, right, talking about politics, talking about sports, anything) will take something completely out of context, or add a bunch of context, to create an attention grabbing but bullshit headline. More however, is not worth commenting on. I would love to see a fact check on the claim “95 percent of Palestinians think the best way to deal with homosexuals is to string them up from trees.”
These articles generalize liberals and Muslims, claiming that “all liberals believe x” without as much as a poll for evidence of such a statement. It also basically says that failing to condemn Islam as a whole is supporting radical Islam.

The comparison made in that first article is stupid as shit. Liberals speak out against perceived Christian and Catholid backwardness because those are the dominant religions in the U.S. If Islam was a more dominant religion here I guarantee there would be significant pushback against its more archaic and outdated teachings. Also, as stated SEVERAL times in other comments; no prominent liberals support radical Islam, they support the vast majority of Muslims who are stereotyped because of the actions of groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda.
