Michael Jordan Is Building His Own Golf Course, Handpicking Members
Have you ever been out on the course and a little upset that the group in front of you was taking 800 practice swings before actually addressing the ball? Of course you have — and being stuck behind the shitty group makes you want to jam the handle of your putter into your eye socket. Wouldn’t it be great to have your own golf course so you wouldn’t have to deal with the riffraff and all that pace of play bullshit?
His Airness thinks it would. Reportedly fed up with the pace of play at his current club, The Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Florida, Jordan will build his own course. He’s allegedly a fast player and has been known to get impatient on the basketball court and on the golf course. Instead of finding another club, Jordan thought, “Why don’t I just build my own?” When you have that kind of cash, why the hell wouldn’t you?
Jordan has secured an option on a piece of land in nearby Hobe Sound, south of The Medalist Club, where Tiger and Fowler are members. I’m sure he’s going to poach these two to become members at his course. He may not be able to coax free agents to Charlotte, but I bet he’d have no problem coaxing golfers to his course in Florida. Tom Doak is said to be the front-runner to design the course, and Michael Jordan will personally hand pick the members.
