Kentucky Is So Damn Good They “Forgot” To Cut Down The Nets

As most college basketball teams pray that concession sales will be enough to cover the janitorial staff’s salary or buy a new bench for the locker room, Kentucky’s program is on the court crushing windpipes and going in dry on schools that have no business breathing the same air as the blue-chip squad. They are so good, in fact, that they recently completed their regular season with a blemish-free 34-0 record. It’s truly an astonishing feat.

It is tough to put into words just how incredible Kentucky’s team is until you realize that they have won so many damn times they literally forgot to cut down the nets after walloping Arkansas 78-63 on Sunday. The reporters did not overlook the Wildcats’ celebratory mistake and were sure to question Coach Cal during his post-game press conference.

From Washington Post:

“Can I tell you honestly?” he told ESPN. After a bit of sparring over whether an honest answer was desired, he added with a shrug, “Honestly, we all forgot. We forgot. We walked off the court and someone said, ‘You forgot to cut down the nets.’ I said, ‘Dudes, what are we going to tell the media because you know they’re going to make a story?’ “Ah, tell them we’ll worry about the other nets.’ Literally, forgot. Walked off the court.

Most teams can only ever dream of participating in the traditional slicing of a nylon strand, yet the Wildcats’ are so confident they’re destined to win it all, they’re not even going to bother dabbling with the small prizes.

Despite having secured a surefire number one seed in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, Calipari’s team was immediately ready to see which poor team was next in line to ride the Lexington Pain Train.

“Really, we were trying to get on the plane to get back to the house [for the Selection Sunday show].”

Confidence is something to be admired. The Wildcats are betting it all on a victory in Indianapolis to close out the season, and honestly, there aren’t many reasons to say it can’t happen.

Look out for when Coach Cal bails on UK right before the NCAA brings the hammer down, just like he did with UMass and Memphis.

The proof is that he left Umass and Memphis right before the Ncaa Sanctions

Camby took money from an agent, Rose had someone take his SAT. Coach Cal has never had any sanctions against him.

I don’t think Calipari would make it out of Lexington alive if he ever tried to leave.

Willie Cauley Stein said about not cutting down the nets “”Those aren’t the nets we’re really looking to cut down”. Its still not a legitimate story but its better than the garbage Bogey put up.
