Tom Izzo Gave Michigan State A Speech That Will Have You Ready To Run Through A Wall
At this point, I wouldn’t argue against you if you told me Tom Izzo is the best coach in college basketball. Sure, you have Cal and Coach K winning a lot of ball games, but they do it with teams that are loaded with NBA talent. Izzo, on the other hand, finds his way into the Final Four with guys who buy into his idea of team ball and just go to work on opposing teams (outside of Draymond Green, name me one stud Spartan drafted into the NBA since 2009).
Before the Spartans took on Louisville on Sunday, Izzo gave the team on hell of a pep talk. Here it is:
Now we know why you can never count out Sparty when Izzo is at the healm. Shit, how could you not want to go to battle after that? Tom really knows how to fire up a team. Two hours, that’s all he’s asking for. A simple, yet powerful message. The way he ends it just has you ready to take on the world.
This shit has me so pumped that I’m going to go challenge ol’ Dorn to Golden Tee at $500 a hole..

11 years ago at 1:41 pmDefinitely a relationship between how much a coach resembles a Italian mobster and success on the court Pitino, Cal, etc
11 years ago at 1:45 pmFrank Martin is the ultimate Mob Boss look-a-like. It’s too bad he left K-State.
11 years ago at 4:52 pmChange hours to minutes and he stole my speech.
11 years ago at 1:46 pmTom Izzo is proof that you can take 5 guys from a local YMCA and turn them into a final four team
11 years ago at 1:54 pmAl Pacino kills him in the speech department
11 years ago at 1:55 pmAl Pacino was never in the Final Four you twat.
11 years ago at 9:26 pmHe wasn’t? That’s news to me guy. Do yourself a favor and go watch Any Given Sunday like a real fucking man you softass.
11 years ago at 1:23 pmGary Harris to the Bulls (19th overall pick), Adreian Payne to the Hawks (15th overall pick)
11 years ago at 2:33 pmBut those guys aren’t studs?
11 years ago at 2:45 pmDefine “stud”
11 years ago at 3:01 pmBeing able to call themselves an NBA All-Star. Payne and Harris are not, nor will ever be, All-Stars.
11 years ago at 3:23 pmPayne and Harris both averaged 16 points a game, and Payne put up a 40 point game in the tourney.
11 years ago at 5:51 pmI know he’s not a stud nor an NBA player but Kalin Lucas had straight ice in his veins during his tourney runs while at MSU. Last time I checked he was somewhere in the D league hopefully he will eventually make a roster.
11 years ago at 3:49 pmAdrian Payne?
11 years ago at 2:56 pmAdreian* whatever
11 years ago at 2:57 pmImma let you finish Izzo but the SEC is taking the trophy home this year.
