These California Republicans Who Want To Keep The American Flag On Campuses Are Damn Fine Americans

There’s just something majestical about our nation’s flag. It truly is a sight to behold, and a sight that should not be kept from the eyes of all our citizens. The flag represents all the sacrifices that were made, the history, and the glory of this fine nation. Who wouldn’t want to proudly fly the colors for all to see?

About a month ago, some UC Irvine students decided that they were offended by the flag and didn’t want to see the flag on their campus. Luckily, the ban of the flag never happened. Now, some California Republicans want to ensure that it never happens in their state.

From California’s Senate District 34:

On Monday afternoon, Senator Janet Nguyen (R-Garden Grove) and several of her colleagues jointly announced that they will introduce a Senate Constitutional Amendment on Wednesday that prohibits state funded colleges and universities from banning the flag of the United States of America on school property.

That statement alone deserves a standing ovation. She even fired off this A+ quote:

“I came to this country as an immigrant searching for freedom and democracy and I would not be here today if it were not for the American flag,” said Senator Nguyen. “The veterans that are with us here today and the thousands of servicemen and women fighting throughout the world deserve for us to make every effort to ensure that the American flag is proudly displayed at public universities and colleges throughout California. That is why we have introduced this Senate Constitutional Amendment.”

Well said, Janet. When (not even going to say “if” on this because we don’t live in communist Russia) the bill passes state legislature and gains voter approval in November of 2016, all state-funded campuses will not be allowed to ban the U.S. flag. Some of those schools include the University of California, California State University, and community colleges campuses.

These colors don’t run.

The fact that this law needs to exist is proof that libs have already destroyed the country.

You shouldn’t be able to attend college in this country if you want our flag banned from your campus

The fact a law is even necessary is just pathetic. I’d love for one of these socialist pu$$ies try and explain why the flag shouldn’t be allowed to a group of our great nations’ veterans.

The name of the school is UC Irvine, not Cal Irvine. It’s even in the picture you posted.

Or they’re normal Americans, because we can all agree that American flags should be flown anywhere and everywhere.

Every immigrant should share Mrs. Ngyuen’s attitude towards this great country, instead of coming here illegally, having anchor babies, demanding citizenship and benefits and waving the flag of the country they came from during protests. Figures Mrs. Ngyuen is from Orange County, one of California’s last hopes.

Central California, you know that place that grows a lions share of ag products, is staunchly conservative.

But it’s really a numbers game against the left-wing areas of the Bay and SoCal. They have the votes to do what they want within the state government.

However, the last election here set a strong tone of a shift back to the right side of the aisle. I guess the left wing crazies got a little too crazy for the general public. There may be hope yet for California. If we could only get a little rain…

Smedley Butler said, “soldiers follow the flag, and the flag follows the dollar.” Only way for those whiney Geed flag haters to not comply with this is to pass a student senate resolution to not accept any funds from the government. That ain’t gonna happen.
