Product Reviews by Dorn: Mizzen+Main

I have been bestowed the opportunity to write reviews for some of my favorite products available at Man Outfitters, for several reasons: 1) I have style and people know it, 2) people look up to me, 3) we have some really sharp merch that needs pushing, and perhaps most importantly, 4) a lot of you dress like total shit and flat-out need my help. I’m all over social media, guys. I see the pics.

Man Outfitters sends me the shirt, pants, shoes, live hand grenades, etc. that I choose to review because I like and endorse them, I wear them around or try them out, assess their quality and style, then I tell you all about them. Easy enough.

This week, I am featuring two shirts by Mizzen+Main: the Wright Gingham Button Down, and the Arapahoe Henley.

Wright Gingham Button Down

by Mizzen+Main
Color: Green
Price: $125
Available at: ManOutfitters.com

The first thing you need to know about Mizzen+Main button downs is they are truly unlike any other on the market. It’s the dri-fit of button downs. It feels like a shirt I’m supposed to work out in, not wear while sitting in a fake library with bookshelf wallpaper behind me, holding an empty prop glass of scotch with a punchable face.

The material is stretchy — four way stretchy even. It actually kind of caught me off guard when I first put it on. It wasn’t the kind of button down I was used to, at all, because it’s basically a dri-fit, like I said. It breathes, stretches, doesn’t wrinkle, doesn’t go to the dry-cleaners, doesn’t ever touch an iron, and wicks moisture. Great shirt for you heavy sweaters, and southerners in general.

All that means is it’s, by far, the most comfortable button down I’ve ever worn. A bold statement, I realize, but it feels like it’s constantly having sensual intercourse with my torso, and my torso keeps begging for more.

It’s a little high, but definitely worth the price tag, especially since it’s made right here in America by red-blooded Americans. You’ll agree once you put one on the first time.

Arapahoe Henley

by Mizzen+Main
Color: Light Blue
Price: $58
Available at: ManOutfitters.com

First impression: outside my comfort zone.

This is a shirt designed for someone built like Dwayne Johnson, right? Not me. Then I saw Cubes pulling it off on Bloomberg. If he’s in the Mizzen+Main Henley game, why can’t I be?

Besides, it really makes my pecs pop.

A couple weeks ago I was unfamiliar with Mizzen+Main. I’m now a huge fan.

Well Richardson I’m happy that you took the time to think about my comment analytically but then again that brings to light the quote “never do anything half-assed” so by you Richardson analyzing my comment half assed you sir have made a full ass of yourself which makes my comment redundant but that won’t matter in the long run since you can piece together a simple concept and ball busting joke that my girlfriends retarded step sister could put together and she’s failed 5th grade once already we hope she can pass it this time around good luck to you’re future endeavors as a raging alcoholic with no hope and blind anger as you push yourself through a low paying job just to supply your lonesome party with more booze

I imagine you had your thesaurus out the entire time that you created that terrible run on sentence.

I’m not gay, but what brand of jeans is Dorn wearing? They look like they are high quality.

Dorn, can you confirm if the Arapahoe Henley is the shirt often worn by Raylan Given on Justified?
If it is, I might buy it.
What is the four way stretchy material?
If it’s polyester I can’t wear it. My country club has strict rules against cargo shirts and polyester.

Maybe you are kidding. I’ll risk it. Justified was on FX. The series finale was Tuesday. It is one of the best series I have ever watched. Try one or two of the first episodes on YouTube. I bet you will like it. Anyway, Deputy U.S. Marshall Givans often wears a shirt that looks just like the Arapahoe.

I just researched and confirmed it myself. Raylan does wear 4.2 ounce Henley 4 button-down neck, long sleeved shirts.

Please tell us this is sarcasm and that you did not actually “research” what type of shirt this person wears.

Good for him. I’m thank his sacrifice for our freedoms. However I don’t need a website to know how to dress and neither should you, bud.

You needed a website to figure out how to dress nice? Get the fuck out of here with your bullshit.

I checked this site out. I learned that a blazer is usually a solid color, and that you shouldn’t wear a blazer over jeans with cargo pockets! Well now I know how to dress!
