Washburn Phi Delt Suspended Because Of Vulgar Texts Referencing Sex With Minors

Washburn Phi Delt Suspended Because They Sent Vulgar Text Messages To One Another

Lately, it seems like we can’t go a day without seeing another chapter getting suspended. Today it’s Phi Delt at Washburn University. Nationals decided to suspend them after discovering images of vulgar texts that were sent between brothers. I’m really scratching my head over this one.

From The Topeka Capital-Journal:

A Washburn University fraternity’s operations have been suspended by its national leadership after images of sexually vulgar text messages between members surfaced.

There is no word on how long the suspension will last, or what it entails. The school and Phi Delt’s nationals are currently investigating the situation.

So what exactly were in these texts? Let’s take a peek behind the curtain and look, shall we?

“Women are equal and deserve respect … just kidding they should (expletive).”

That text is straight up lyrics from one of Jon Lajoie’s satirical songs. Don’t believe me? Check it out.

The song is a classic and has probably been quoted in text messages by millions of people. No one is calling for Lajoie’s head. So I’m not sure why people are up in arms over it.

One message suggests a 12-year-old is old enough for sex.

“She’s 12. She’s a woman,” the message says. The next reply: “That’s my sister. If you want your balls left intact, I suggest you get that (expletive) out of your head.”

How people don’t realize that this is more than likely a joke is beyond me. If he was legitimately talking about statutory raping this girl, then yes throw the goddamn book at him, but come on. This is just a dumbass joke. Nothing more.

Better watch what you text these days, because no one can take a joke, especially an obvious and stupid one.

I heard there is a website that references comments about sex and other similar acts with minors by a dude with great hair who has a mean game of Golden Tee.

Shut the fuck up, Dorn. Yes we know it’s you because you’re the only one who thinks you have great hair. Plus you fucking suck at Golden Tee.

“One message suggests a 12-year-old is old enough for sex” Are you sure you weren’t going through Dorn’s phone?

  3. Am I going to have to ask my brother to come with me to the basement, close and lock any doors and windows, move very close and gently next to his supple ears, wet my lips so that there’s no friction to get in the way of the sound wave, adjust my larynx, and whisper “bro I tap your sister” and he would repeat this process to reply to me. Is this how everyone have to live now? Walking on eggshells? I’d rather drink to death and go out in the most offensive manner.

A buddy of mine in the chapter said a DG had her fake ID confiscated and thought someone in Phi Delt ratted her out so she got ahold of someone’s phone and took pictures of their GroupMe while he wasn’t in the room.

A pledge from their fraternity was getting concerned with the things that were being said and showed a multiple girls in a sorority their GroupMe, their GroupMe was directly related to Phi Delta Theta and so they were violating many rules. This wasn’t just texts sent back in forth with friends. There were photos of girls passed out and naked. There were racism remarks, similar to SAE. They were making jokes about Penn State. There were many things bashing all the organizations on their campus. There are a lot more facts about the situation that the media has not released. The media got a hold of this information their own way and students around campus have made comments on this issue.

The sad thing is it literally was a psycho ex girlfriend. She stole one of their new members phone, took pictures of their GroupMe and sent them to our local news. How much more insane can you be? This was a private conversation and was never meant for anyone but the intended recipients to see. Last I checked the first amendment was alive and well.

The first amendment doesn’t count when fraternities are involved, haven’t you been watching the news? Of course, racism doesn’t count, but fraternities can’t get away with much these days. We may have to create a new language so that we can communicate without some tic-tac bullshit thing sinking an entire chapter over next to nothing.

Stephen Lynch also has a popular song about banging his best friend’s junior high school aged sister that applies here.

Anyways, what the fuck kind of nationals suspends a chapter for 2 members’ explicit text messages? Who who hasn’t given a pledge brother shit about banging his younger sister before?

You’d be surprised. Our nationals can be a real hardass when something that could make us look bad happens. They were the ones that started the dry housing initiative and makes sure to bring it up as often as they can in interviews
