Air Force Vet Arrested For Taking Flag From Protestors, May Be A Hypocrite
A female Air Force veteran who is also a hot model is not a person you come across every day. She may have the looks to model, but she isn’t scared of kicking your ass if need be. Michelle Manhart got into a bit of a scuffle with protesters and police on the campus of Valdosta State University this past Friday. By the end of it all, she found herself cuffed in the back of a Valdosta State University police Charger.
The incident was caught on video — in very shitty quality — and posted online yesterday.
According to Michelle, she was was aware of the group’s recent protests and made her way to campus after a student informed her that they were desecrating the flag. When the police attempted to return the flag to the protestors, all hell broke loose.
From Valdosta Daily Times:
“I did not want anything like this, but I got a call from a student who told me that the flag was on the ground, and they were walking on it,” said Manhart. “I was just going over there to pick up the flag off the ground. I don’t know what their cause is, but I went to pick it up because it doesn’t deserve to be on the ground.”
As seen in the video, Michelle put up a helluva fight to keep the flag from ending up back in the hands of the scum who chose to walk across it. While no video exists of the actual protestors walking on the flag, a photo was posted online that appears to show one of the men in the video walking across a flag.

What an asshat. The group chose not to be identified or to state their cause — it is believed to be something related to racial issues. The only clue they gave was a statement overheard by a reporter.
One member of the group who declined to speak with The Valdosta Daily Times or identify himself told a VSU student that putting the American flag on the ground and walking on it was “a symbol of our protest. When a slave understands his situation and understands he doesn’t want to be in slavery, he does not respect or revere anything his slavemaster has put in front of him.”
The protestors and police elected not to press charges against Michelle, and she was free to leave after receiving a ban from the VSU campus.
While this story seems great at first, a photo has been appearing on social media that seems to show Michelle may be a hypocrite. The photo is allegedly from one of Michelle’s “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” nude photo shoots for an old PETA ad campaign.

Interesting, right?
I have been unable to 100 percent confirm the photo is of Manhart, yet the tattoos match those seen in a video she filmed for PETA in conjunction with the photo campaign. Either way, it adds yet another interesting dynamic to the story.
Patriotism, boobs, and hypocrisy. Damn, I’m torn..

Hypocrite or not, good on her for shutting up those dirty hippies desecrating Old Glory. Fuck those guys.
11 years ago at 12:57 pmHow is she a hypocrite anyway, the flags on the ground? Okay. But contextually, shes not doing anything near as bad. She isnt accusing people of slavery or walking on the flag.
But I am not sure if I like her or not for doing a PETA campaign.
11 years ago at 1:07 pmIts the principle of respect. You respect the flag by not walking on it, and by not using it as a fucking fashion accessory. The best men and women this country has ever produced have come home underneath that flag. The only time it should touch what’s beneath it is when it covers the coffin of those who gave their all for it.
11 years ago at 1:25 pm^ Nailed it.
11 years ago at 2:31 pmWow and you both pack lips. What a dynamic duo
11 years ago at 2:55 pmI wish people could get through their thick fucking head what the American flag actually represents. Millions of good hard working men and women have laid down their lives for that 3×5 cloth. By stepping on the flag, they are basically taking a shit on every single american who’s fought for the rights they take for granted.
11 years ago at 2:59 pmA-fucking-men.
11 years ago at 8:06 pmIt’s sad that it’s come to be acceptable for people to desecrate ole glory. Those uneducated hippies didn’t just walk on a flag they walked on a symbol that men and women have died to uphold.
11 years ago at 7:16 pmNone of those fuckin clowns even know anyone who was a slave. Wanna walk on the flag? Get the next boat ride out.
11 years ago at 1:00 pmBlack people have it pretty damn good at vsu.
11 years ago at 1:00 pmWho would have ever guessed they’d abuse it
11 years ago at 12:06 amThat photo of her gave me a Manhart-on.

11 years ago at 2:36 pmDoesn’t matter flag’s a flag. Don’t fuck with ole glory. Ever.
11 years ago at 1:04 pmWhat has America turned into? Since when is defending the flag from dumbasses like them a crime? I have numerous family members, both men and women, who have served in our armed forces and watch their close friends die defending that flag and this great nation! The people that should be arrested are those idiotic protesters. Piss poor job by VSUPD.
11 years ago at 1:07 pmI’m gonna take alot of laps for this, but our founding fathers wrote out the right to free speech in the first amendment for a reason. Flag desecration is fucked up, but it is their right to do it.
11 years ago at 2:32 pmYou are correct. Saying the protestors should be arrested is fucking retarded. Not as retarded as them for what they’re doing, but still very retarded.
11 years ago at 2:59 pmMe stating the protesters should be arrested was clearly out of anger and frustration, however, the chick in the green who also was grabbing onto the flag should’ve also got the cuffs slapped on her wrist.
11 years ago at 3:42 pmActually according to the US Code, “Whoever knowingly mutilates, defaces, physically defiles, burns, maintains on the floor or ground, or tramples upon any flag of the United States shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.” Section 700 (a)(1)
11 years ago at 10:07 pmActually, according to the U.S. Supreme Court that law is largely unenforceable/unconstitutional. Really the only way to enforce it is if the protestor(s) is endangering others (i.e. – burning it indoors, etc.). In any event, fuck these guys. Also, fuck you and your worthless comment.
11 years ago at 9:26 amThe type of people to say it’s their first amendment right to protest and disrespect the flag however they want but will waste no time pissing all over the second amendment. Yeah, fuck those people.
11 years ago at 1:18 pmTomorrow’s IBOTD?
11 years ago at 1:24 pmI’m picturing it ruined by sailboats already..
11 years ago at 2:35 pmYall are some ignorant ass people. Saying she’s the one that made you a slave and stuff. Hell you’ve never been a slave a day in your life. Second off she fought for your sorry asses in the military and yall wonder why people don’t like you. Stomping a flag and walking on it is not okay.
11 years ago at 1:29 pmProps to her for standing up for what is right
