I’ll play Devil’s Advocate here. I’ve seen the kind of soldiers he’s talking about, people that get a cushy desk job and then suck at it for 4 years (or 6 years if tbey’re a Nasty Girl,) because they don’t give a fuck and are just going to get out and get that sweet free college. They make the rest of our lives harder and find an excuse to get out of everything. Not everyone with that type of job is a bad soldier though.
I appreciate and respect my fellow EOD brothers and any other soldiers, marines, airman or sailors that served on the front lines of the battlefields. I do not appreciate or respect the fucks that sign up to pound a keyboard or hand out towels at the gym for 4 years, get out, and expect the same level of respect.
Look man, I get that frontline dudes deserve a special level of respect, but if you don’t think you need your signal, Intel, or other support dudes, you’re just lying to yourself.
I didn’t say anything about support dudes. It’s true they are extremely needed and often times overlooked. But the fucks that tested so low on their ASVABs that they can only do admins, services or supply jobs go on to fuck everything up.
I’m Eod, my job can’t be done with just fellow spec war guys. Let’s be real, we all signed up, and make a sacrifice one way or another. Don’t be a fuck boy about that shit.
MilToFrat is right, you’d be surprised at how many shitbags sign up just for the benefits and don’t give a fuck about their job, then they get out and act like they received the Medal Of Honor and everyone should suck their dick. TPogM.
Everybody has their place in the service. I’m sure as hell not going to route my own paper work, that’s why we have yeomen. Some people push papers some fight wars but it’s a system that continues to make the United States the most powerful military on the planet.
I wish I can serve in battle like my grandfather. It sucks to be the only person bearing my surname in the family. If I were to serve I’d be pushing papers , while I don’t mind doing my country’s duty in other ways it’s just not Glamorous for me. Anyways I’m just really trying to show my love for the men and women serving the red white and blue.
