OU Plans To Turn Former SAE House Into Human Relations And Disability Testing Center

In Wake Of OU Incident, SAE Hires National Director Of Inclusion And Diversity

The University of Oklahoma has revealed plans to turn the former SAE house on campus into the Southwest Center for Human Relations (SWCHR) and the Disability Testing Center.

What is that? Good question. I had no idea, so I had to Google it. According to its website, the SWCHR “brings together businesses, education professionals, the media, as well as government, labor, and community-based agencies and organizations to help create equal opportunities in various areas of society.”

OU’s SAE chapter was notoriously shut down in March after a video surfaced of members engaging in a racist chant on a party bus. The following month was filled with anti-Greek media reports and violence against OU fraternity houses, as well as the expulsion of two OU SAEs and disciplinary action taken against another 25 members. OU rightfully shut the chapter down and reclaimed the SAE house in a matter of days. The school now requires freshmen to take a five-hour diversity course before completing their first year of college.

Now, the former fraternity house that was once (probably) filled to the brim with alcohol and drugs will be filled educational training programs, workshops and seminars, and disability testing. It will also hold be used as temporary office space for the College of Arts and Sciences.

“If these walls could talk,” thinks the uncomfortable, middle-aged SWCHR employee housed in his upstairs office that once belonged to dozens of drunk, horny and slightly deranged 20-year-olds, “they would probably be indicted for all different types of felonies.”

This is some solid trolling by OU’s administration. Not only did you force a fraternity out of its house in 48 hours, you then turned it into basically the complete opposite of a fraternity. An educational center full of seminars? Will attendees at least have to do bows and toes on bottle caps?

This final parting shot has to sting a little bit. Well played.

Did their alumni not own the house? How can the university just take it?

SAE at OU must really get your dick hard because it’s the only fraternity related item you touch.

The SJWs want every nice house. Even those chapters who are kissing the Dean’s and Nationals ass and think they are in good standing are also in the crosshairs of the wealth redistributors.

“Did you see anyone lined up and getting hazed?”

Walls: “Oh, you mean that first night when everyone formed a line to get initiated the first time they stepped in the house? Yeah that happens every year.”

As a Black Member of a fraternity, I was shocked to see the racist chants OU SAE made on that bus, and disappointed that the media portrayed ALL fraternities in a poor light after the incident. The SAE house is on OU property and they have every right to make it whatever they choose. I don’t understand people who think OU overreacted. I’ve know chapters to get kicked off for petty things that they didn’t deserve, but this incident was far from petty and OUs decision was absolutely warranted.

Not really the article to do this but I figured I’d post on Steve’s most recent article. I formulated an idea while watching Shrek today about our current situation as users on the TFM site. Regardless of the topic of an article or column Steve Holt posts, I say we should make the comments into a forum about something of our liking. Yes, this sounds silly, but if we stick together, we could get our forums back (get fucked Tech Guy) or force HelmetStickers to stop writing because the Grandex staff will get annoyed with us. Steve Holt, you suck.

Or… That could backfire and they prevent us from commenting on posts altogether.
