Mizzou Schools Professors On “Inclusive Language” With Help Of Purple “Gender Unicorn” Mascot

Some professors at the University of Missouri voluntarily participated in a workplace diversity seminar last week called “The Power of Words: Inclusive Language at Mizzou.”

According to The Blaze, the meeting encouraged staff members to approach colleagues who are using “inappropriate” and “non-inclusive” terminology and school them on how to keep it PC.

Here’s a list of terms the seminar deemed offensive, as well as how to identify people in an “inclusive” manner:

Rather than using the term “mentally ill,” instead say “person with a psychiatric disability.”

Or you could use the term “liberal.”

Rather than using the term “wheelchair-bound,” instead say the person is a “wheelchair user.”

I’d prefer to be called a “wheelman.”

If you’re unsure if someone wants to be referred to as a “she” or “he,” you can simply ask, “What pronouns do you use?” Failing that, you can always resort to ”gender-neutral pronouns” that include “they/them and ze/hir.”

“Ze/hir.” The fuck?

When referring to an “immigrant” (an acceptable term), don’t use “alien” (a slur).

OK. But Pablo mowed the lawn, fixed the shed, and weeded the garden in just 30 minutes. I’m not saying he’s an alien, but he’s definitely got supernatural powers.

When an “underrepresented group” is made to feel “less than,” that group is being “minoritized.”

One guy in the comment section named stloocardsfan hit the nail on the head:

Instead of “alcoholic,” I prefer the term “beer consumer.”

They also have an official mascot – “The Gender Unicorn” – a downsy-looking purple thing with a DNA double helix on its (hir?) junk.

According to the Gender Unicorn, you can be born a male, identify as a woman, express yourself as masculine, and be sexually attracted to men while being romantically/emotionally attracted to women.

Jesus. That can get confusing. College professors better start studying now.

Gonna take my laps for this one but i am what i am, as someone who identifies as a liberal. (more or less socially liberal, fiscally conservative for the most part.) Even i have no fuckin idea where this major political correctness comes from, i don’t care that your gay, fuck dudes munch box it don’t matter to me in the least i almost hate to identify with the liberals because you have these overcompensating progressive retards who want everyone to feel comfortable. thats not how life is, growing up we are taught life is hard, people arent going to like you, you aren’t going to be comfortable. Just fucking deal with it, Id rather everyone be ignorant assholes the, having to walk on egg shells cause i don’t want to “offend anyone”.

The only important part about this story that the ground breaking news reporters at TFM failed to report is that Steve Holt taught the seminar

We here at TFM teach that men should be men and women should be grateful for that.

On a related note, I recently decided to put forth effort into improving the once genuinely funny wall posts. However, they are not being posted. I suspect this may be in part due to my persistence at calling those who are born as, and identify as, etc females simply by a number 1-10.

Thanks for not letting me finish my thought App. I blame Holt and the Intern, as well as their strangely intimate relationship. Back to my point though I demand you practice what you preach and allow content which may not be utterly PC. It will draw discussion and as such page views. A win-win. Fix this shit.

On a scale of 0 to 1, I give your post a 1. Not because it was good, but because I’m easy

Bacon writing about the purple gender unicorn would turn this article into a personal memoir. He too close to the story.
