Georgia Officials Want To Stop UGA & UF Students From Getting Shitcanned At Frat Beach
Drunken debauchery at Frat Beach will be different this year, but the party isn’t over.
St. Simons Beach, a.k.a. Frat Beach, is legendary. Students from Georgia and Florida descend upon it prior to the schools’ football matchup. It’s essentially a booze-fueled, college football-themed spring break party in the fall. If you don’t believe me, people have even been known to go at it with no regards for the people around them.
Glynn County, Georgia, officials are trying to crack down on this drunken debauchery.
In a letter from the Glynn County Board of Commissioners expected to be sent Thursday to area Georgia colleges and high schools (because we don’t need drunk 15-year-olds running around), the board chairman says a massive authoritarian presence will be there this year.
This is probably the worst of it for the underage crowd:
County police will be checking for age compliance with the state’s alcohol laws, and will be using computers on-site ‘to confirm a person’s age if an individual has no ID on his or her person.’
K. That’s annoying but if you’re gonna drink underage, you gotta take a few MIPs here and there. Take your lumps. It builds character.
The rest of the letter, being sent in hopes of deterring at least some students from attending, seems pretty mild:
A magistrate judge for processing people arrested during the weekend will also be components of Glynn County’s plans for reining in Georgia-Florida revelers, according to the letter.
Nooo. Not a judge willing to see me at an appropriate time for my drunken antics. Noooo. Don’t do it, you sick heartless bastards!
The letter goes on to say sobriety checkpoints and medical personnel will be on hand for over-consumption issues.
These new restrictions seem sensible when you take into account the asinine decision by Florida officials to ban alcohol on Panama City Beach beaches.
The Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators are scheduled to play Oct. 31st in Jacksonville, Fla.
Let’s just say no being a douchebag, no littering, no fucking high schoolers, and be on our way. Capiche?.

Can the Georgia fans still fuck their cousins?
10 years ago at 9:56 amAs a UGA man, I’m not going to get my panties in a wad over this comment. I’ll simply point out the fact that you can make this same insult to about 11 other schools in the conference, including what I’m assuming is your jean short-wearing Alma mater. That being said, fuck you.

10 years ago at 9:58 amWell, I guess I kind of contradicted myself there.
10 years ago at 10:02 amNo more underage kids?! Guess that means Dorno’s out
10 years ago at 10:18 amDorn’s like: “Woah man, no fucking high schoolers? I’m out”
10 years ago at 10:22 am1. Florida students do not go to frat beach, they stay in Florida
2. The game’s on October 31st, not the 3rd.
Hope you’re not a journalism major
10 years ago at 10:22 amThey go to the beaches in Jacksonville which are significantly closer to the stadium.
10 years ago at 10:48 pmI’m from Saint Simons and in all fairness every kid within a 20 mile radius goes there and drinks and gets hammered underage. The cops are probably doing us a favor
10 years ago at 10:24 amI saw a poor bastard last year face plant right in front of the cops get up and do it again. The only thing the cops did was laugh their asses off.
10 years ago at 1:31 pmUGA/UF will always be The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Nothing will ever change that.
