Football season is upon us. The pads are crunching, the girls are wearing their daisy dukes and boots, the pledges are cleaning, and the smokers are smoking. With the start of the season comes the arguing over who throws the greatest tailgates.

Hold on to your saddles, boys. There are a few surprises on this list, starting off with my number 10 school.

10. North Dakota State University

Yes, North Dakota State knows how to put on a tailgate. When you get past the numerous hoodies, you’ll find yourself taking in one of the best tailgating scenes in this fine country. It’s shocking, I know, but I witnessed this shit firsthand. What they lack in big school character, they make up for with a big school style tailgate. Then again, when you live in North Dakota, you have to be an expert at grilling meat and drinking a ton. Ain’t shit else to do.
