Watch Tennessee Run Through ‘The T’ With This Sweet Interactive 360-Degree Video

So, this is pretty cool.

The University of Tennessee has released a video using a camera fans can control so they can experience what it looks like standing on the field when their team runs out of the tunnel at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. Neyland is universally considered to be one of the craziest atmospheres in college football — holding over 100,000 loud, drunk and obnoxious Volunteers fans on game day.

Clemson released a similar video using the same technology from its contest Saturday against Appalachian State. It’s a little bit longer, but the payoff is just as good.

Both videos are pretty awesome and should set a new industry standard for other major programs. Other schools I’d like to see do this: Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, USC and basically every other SEC school not named “Vanderbilt.” No offense to the ‘dores, but I doubt any fans would care to see Vandy run onto the field in person this season, either. That team is God-awful.

We should see more of these as the season continues. It’s a solid amenity for fans who can’t make it to every game they’d like to see in person this year..
