UPDATE: An earlier version of this story stated McKenzie was arrested. He has not been. He has only been accused.

UGA has a big football game at home this weekend against SEC powerhouse Alabama — perhaps its biggest game of the year. The Bulldogs are looking to make a statement in a conference that doesn’t have a clear favorite yet.

Unfortunately, they will likely be down a player after wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie was accused of making a terroristic threat at an Athens Chili’s Monday night. Yeah, you read that right.

From Red and Black:

Georgia wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie was accused of making “terroristic threats or acts” to a female complainant at Chili’s on Alps Road on Monday around 10:40 p.m., according to an Athens-Clarke County Police Report.

According to the report, the complainant — a 20-year-old University of Georgia student — said McKenzie “said he was going to call some friends and they were going to come out and he was going to kill her.”

No one has been charged in the incident, which is still under investigation, ACCPD said Tuesday.

The report lists safety Dominick Sanders, wide receiver Terry Godwin, linebacker D’Andre Walker and safety Jarvis Wilson as witnesses to the incident.

Looks like McKenzie’s domestic abuse behavior is already in NFL midseason form.

Why do players continue to do stupid shit? If I was an athlete in a high profile sport at a major university getting my college paid for and, let’s be honest, my homework done for free, I’d keep my head down until draft day or graduation day. That is a freaking lottery ticket. How people continue to screw this up is astounding to me.

Sure, the “terroristic threat” charge would be a little steep, but McKenzie is profoundly stupid for even putting himself in that situation the first place. This only confirms my theory that nothing good ever comes from visiting a neighborhood Chili’s.

Georgia AD Greg McGarity said head coach Mark Richt will comment “at the appropriate time,” most likely after McKenzie is kicked off the team and out of the school. Come on, dumbass. Don’t threaten to kill anybody, ever. That literally never ends well.

McKenzie hasn’t been arrested, you imbeciles. Accused and being investigated does not equal arrested. He’s practicing at this very moment.

If you honestly think I go out of my way to write in a completely different style, you’re insane. I would never put in that much effort.
