College Of Charleston Kappa Sigma Wakeboards Through The Hurricane Joaquin Flooded Streets
President Obama has declared a state of emergency in South Carolina and governor Nikki Haley has urged residents to stay indoors to ride out the floods. Not a terrible idea, and with a fully stocked liquor cabinet and plenty of football for your viewing pleasure, the weekend’s not a complete wash. Did I just go full local news station anchor humor with that pun right there? You’re damn right I did. Bringing the heat on a Sunday.
But for some people, playing it safe with a hurricane party just isn’t in their blood. They look a category 4 storm right in the eye and hope it blinks first. Clay Phillips, a Kappa Sigma from College of Charleston, is one of those people.
Yesterday, he dusted off the ol’ wakeboard and shredded the gnar right into the belly of the beast..
