Fox Creates USA-Mexico Soccer Hype Video Using Donald Trump Speeches

GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump has said some great things about the United States and some…not-so-great things about our neighbors down south, Mexico.

This Saturday, the U.S. Men’s National Team takes on Mexico in Southern California – so, essentially a home game for Mexico. Soccer fan or not, this rivalry is a fun one to watch.

In preparation for it, Fox Soccer created this hype video using two speeches from Donald Trump:

I was definitely expecting them to use a different part of his June 16th speech for this matchup. For a refresher, here’s some of Trump’s comments from that same exact speech:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Is it an unsportsmanlike penalty if you call the other team rapists? There’s only one way to find out.

Fox’s video is a response to Azteca TV’s ad in September where the Mexican outlet used Trump’s same speech, but framed it a bit differently.

USMNT, it’s time to make America great again and get a win Saturday. Or don’t. It’s soccer in a non-World Cup year. Do what you want.

    The game is being played at the Rose Bowl, so unless they picked it up and moved it to San Antonio, it’s for sure in SoCal.
