Georgia Tech Phi Delta Thetas Find Missing Brother After Spearheading Search Party, Why He Went Missing Is Sketchy
James “Jimmy” Hubert, 24, was found early this morning thanks to a search party headed by his fraternity brothers. The cops say there are “no signs of foul play,” but evidence suggests it may have been an attack sparked by allegations that the fraternity shouted racial slurs at a female back in August.
Police confirmed that a member of Phi Delta Theta at Georgia Tech, who went missing on Friday night, was found alive early this morning after his fraternity brothers launched an extensive search party to locate him.
Hubert was found unresponsive along railroad tracks and was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. The fraternity took to Facebook to reassure everyone his condition is not critical.
WE FOUND HIM. JIMMY IS ALIVE AND NOT IN CRITICAL CONDITION. He is on route to hospital

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the brothers used “pings” from Hubert’s dead phone to track him down.
“They’re tech students, they can know how to track everything,” Georgia Tech Police Chief Robert Connolly joked at a news conference Monday.
They’re fellow tech students, sure, but more specifically, they’re fraternity brothers. The search to find Hubert was headed by the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

A female student in the search party ultimately located him along the tracks.
While officers say there is “no signs of foul play,” Hubert appears to have been roughed up pretty badly.

Perhaps the injuries are from falling while drunk. But perhaps there is something more at play here.
Hubert’s chapter was thrust into the national spotlight last week after his fraternity fought back against allegations that three of the men leaned out of a window and shouted “Fuck you n—-r” to a female African American student walking by the house in August.
In a 16-page letter to the acting dean of students, the fraternity says the allegations are a hoax and appeals the suspension. They cite surveillance footage that shows the accuser walking to her car, not reacting to any alleged abuse, and driving off as normal. They also say the footage shows that her car was not directly in front of the fraternity house as she had stated, and that she changed up her story, originally claiming to hear the slurs “walking to her parked car,” but later, “once I got in my car.”
Mainly, the fraternity argues that they were denied the right to due process from the university.
I find it unsettling that the university punished an entire fraternity solely on the basis of an accuser’s word. I find it even more unsettling that hundreds of protestors descended upon the house, and that every brother has forever been branded as a racist bigot in the eyes of their peers, solely on the basis of an accuser’s word.
Now, a member of the fraternity turned up beaten to shit after days missing. I’m hard pressed to believe it isn’t the result of violence sparked by the unfounded and unproven word of the accuser..

11 years ago at 2:37 pmYet another reason why universities and their top down approach do more harm than good. Their overreaction to incidents like this without learning the facts is going to lead to something much worse happening down the line.

11 years ago at 2:13 pmGuilty until proven innocent. Racist until cleansed of your whiteness. Bigot until you go through a re-education camp. This liberal gestapo is really getting out of hand.
11 years ago at 2:21 pmThe university just wants justice. That’s why there was obviously no foul play. Blacks can’t be racist so he must have just fallen a lot.
11 years ago at 2:42 pmWell said, although if this was done as retaliation for the alleged racial slurs this is no more a representation of liberals than the westboro baptist church is of Christianity.
Kidnapping someone for 3 days, beating them senseless and leaving them on the train tracks is a disgusting act of brutality from lowlife fucking savages.
