Ben Carson Spoke At A Fraternity House On Saturday Like Every Republican Candidate Should
Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson knows what he’s doing. He recently took the lead in the polls over Trump, and has been steadily gaining momentum that he hopes to keep all the way to February’s Iowa Caucus. What can this success be attributed to? Our boy Benny’s willing to do things other candidates are not — like go to fraternity houses.

From Iowa State Daily:
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson was in Ames on Saturday to speak to Iowa State students and Ames residents.
Carson was hosted by Alpha Gamma Rho and its members, an agriculture based fraternity at Iowa State.
Casey’s breakfast pizza was served at the event, and Carson’s wife, Candy, sang the national anthem for the attendees. The speech was given on the lawn of the fraternity, on a “not too cold” morning in Ames, according to Carson.
It’s such a smart move. As far as college students go, nobody cares more about Republican politics than fraternity men. Don’t bother talking to those hackysacking GDIs out on the quad. They’re all registered pansies and are going to be voting for Vermin Supreme in 2016.
Go straight to the source. Every Republican candidate should. Every one that wants to win, at least. Here are a few reasons why every Republican candidate should speak at a fraternity house:
1. If the guys like you, they can register to vote with their fake IDs too, and you’ll get double the votes.
2. They’ll offer up the services of their pledges to help you build a border wall.
3. Nobody cares what your abortion views are as long as you’re pro-Plan B..

I wonder if the black people will vote for Carson like they did for Obama.
11 years ago at 12:51 pmProbably
11 years ago at 12:52 pmUnfortunately I doubt it. A lot of black people are democrats (fact) so I’d imagine they’d be in the Bernie sanders crowd.
11 years ago at 12:59 pmThey’re actually in the Hillary crowd. Sanders is getting almost exclusively younger white liberals right now and in single digits or barely cracking double digits with minorities. Just goes to show you that no one hates the wealthy right now more than white college liberals
11 years ago at 2:04 pmI’m trying to figure out if my fellow students actually don’t understand or know his insane policies or if they actually support them. Either way, it’s terrifying that he’s getting the support he is amongst college students.
11 years ago at 5:50 pmThey consider him an Uncle Tom, much like Clarence Thomas. The democrats will try to convince them that Carson is somehow racist against them because he isn’t a “real black”.
11 years ago at 1:10 pmThinking rationally and not making excuses for yourself makes you an Uncle Tom
11 years ago at 1:20 pmWhich is so ironic because the man grew up poor in Detroit. Can’t imagine the shit he had to go through to get where he is
11 years ago at 1:21 pmSadly, that’s how my family is portraying him
11 years ago at 1:53 pm“Is he a brother, or is he a cornball brother?”- Rob Parker
11 years ago at 2:59 pmYeah… He actually had been a big figure in the black community because he put a ton of “Carson reading centers” in poor areas and made reading fun for kids in Harlem and Detroit but now these liberal idiots are calling him an Uncle Tom and black folks don’t like him because he’s running republican. I don’t get it. Either way, the man is brilliant and has some great ideas for his presidency. He’s got my vote.

11 years ago at 3:51 pmActually, Ben Carson has been a staple within the black community for a long time and many consider him a hero for being able to achieve mainstream success outside of sports or music. However, most blacks are liberals and won’t vote for him as President. His views don’t coincide with most of the black community, and someone shouldn’t be expected to vote for someone because of their skin color.
11 years ago at 1:29 pmSomeone should have told them (and disillusioned whites) in 2008 and 2012 that they shouldn’t have voted solely on skin color.
11 years ago at 1:51 pmThey did though… Twice…
11 years ago at 1:51 pm“He won’t promise us free stuff so we won’t vote for him”

11 years ago at 5:30 pmYour own comments sort of prove MSNBC hit piece correct, at least for you. You claim that blacks voted for Obama because he was black and because he would give them free stuff. Sounds like it’s not a stretch to find out that you believe someone who expects free shit probably isn’t a hard worker.
11 years ago at 4:53 amPolls have shown that about 30 percent of blacks say they will vote for him, though it’s obviously nothing close to the herd of mentally enslaved idiots that followed Obama to the tune of 95 percent. Still the black vote is easily the worst voting block for Republicans and getting 30 percent of their vote compared to the routine < 10% would be a huge advantage at the ballot box. A Republican hasn't gotten more than 30 percent of the black vote since Richard Nixon in 1960.
11 years ago at 7:10 pmHis contributions to the poor? Fantastic. A self made man, who rose from poverty and defied the odds? Amazing. But damn it, Ben; you’re a creationist who has said, out loud, that the theory of evolution is the work of the devil. Pretty solid DQ
11 years ago at 2:38 amSo, a man who has greatly contributed to his community, saved numerous lives through surgery on the human brain, and is trying to promote self-propelled success in America’s black community (other than white blaming) is to automatically be dismissed as a president due to one personal belief that has nothing to do with politics? He has contributed a lot to society because of his religious faith, not in spite of it.
11 years ago at 3:42 pmna, couldn’t care less what he believes, but he lets it dictate his policy, and that’s where I draw issue. As should every American. Enough with the “Christian Nation” fiction; look how well that worked out for Rome. I’m already lacing up, but man, ya’ll are too stubborn for your own good.
11 years ago at 8:37 pmAnd the mainstream media will still say white fraternity males are racist.
11 years ago at 12:56 pmAlways a Token in the chapters. I’m that token.

11 years ago at 1:10 pmI wonder if they made him an honorary token pledge
11 years ago at 1:15 pmThen they took him to the basement and made him do wall sits.
11 years ago at 8:23 pmVery diverse picture for ISU
11 years ago at 1:22 pmIt really is. Some kids have blonde hair and others have a darker shade of blonde. It’s good to see cultures coming together.
11 years ago at 2:15 pmHave you been to Iowa? You may find it is not very diverse if you only visit once for 30 minutes.
11 years ago at 4:17 pmAlrighty then…
