Glorious 1986 Theta Chi Rush Video Emerges, Is A Must-Watch

Danny Regs came across this little gem while doing some research for “Why Your Fraternity Sucks.” Since he’s balls deep in writing his column, out of the goodness of his heart he handed it off to me. What you’re about to watch is the 1986 rush video for Theta Chi at the University of Maryland. It goes without saying that the ’80s were a time when rush videos still showed that “anything goes” attitude that is no longer accepted by society. This was a time when there were no worries about outrage. No worries about offending anyone. It was the best of times. And this might be the best rush video from that era.

It’s well worth the 20 minutes.

“Am I going to get laid, or am I going to remain a virgin throughout my college career?” Talk about coming in hot. That’s one hell of a subliminal message.

There’s no doubt in my mind that these guys are all wildly successful now. They just exude a level of confidence and leadership that you want in both a fraternity man and CEO. The sad part is that had these guys posted this in 2015, they’d be kicked off campus.

That look he gave to the camera after that interview had me gasping for air.

Okay this narrator guy is actually really, really funny. Super dry sarcasm in the 80’s. Worth the watch to anyone wondering.

Can’t help but think that all the women they were talking to were in full bush mode.

If we could have things now like they did then I would 100% embrace the bush comeback

He very clearly asked the Indian guy a completely different question so that he would talk about how great America and world peace are. Amazing
