Pathetic Story Of How Two Michigan Fans Fell In Love In The ESPN.com Comments Section
Technology, man — it changed everything. People are meeting each other in all types of crazy ways these days. You’ve got psychos with anonymous Twitter accounts sliding into each other’s DMs just to find out that the person they thought they had the hots for was a fat catfish. Crazy shit. There are also more effective methods for meeting people, like Tinder, or Hinge if you want to be more classy.
Then you have this crazy ass couple that met in the comments section of ESPN.com. And we’re talking about the comments section back before that shit was connected to Facebook. These were anonymous accounts.
From ESPN.com:
When they first crossed paths in 2012, they weren’t Kate and Brandon to each other. They were bleu_girl_04 and AAWolv, regulars in the comment section of ESPN’s Big Ten blog.
Have you ever heard anything more pathetic in your entire life? Regular commenters on ESPN’s Big Ten blog back when Michigan was a dumpster fire under Brady Hoke in 2012. Woof.
The two love birds chatted in the comments section for 6-months before finally exchanging numbers to prove to the other that this wasn’t another Manti Teo situation (which ironically occurred during their initial courtship). Since she lived in North Carolina, and he lived in a basement in Ann Arbor, they tried the whole “long distance” thing. He even drove 12 hours to see her. With the talent in Ann Arbor, can you blame the guy for outsourcing in North Carolina?
The two of them got married this past weekend after having been together for three years. The wedding, however, did not include groomsmen wearing khakis like Jim Harbaugh would, which is disappointing to say the least..
