Ohio State Wide Receiver Michael Thomas Trashes Alabama’s Schedule Strength On Twitter

Ohio State wide receiver Mike Thomas is having a hard time wrapping his head around why Alabama is ranked number two. All year long, he has had to endure internet fans trolling Ohio State about their strength of schedule — especially after the Buckeyes have beaten powerhouses such as Virginia Tech, Hawaii, and Western Michigan. Well, Mike decided to call out another one loss team that is currently ranked number 2: Alabama.

Shots fired. However, Thomas seems to have forgotten that Alabama is also playing for something Ohio State is not: a conference championship. If he’s advocating for Oklahoma to be ahead of Bama, I’m all for it, but I will draw the line at Iowa. Iowa is a garbage 12-0. Ohio State should probably be ranked ahead of Iowa.

The fact of the matter is that there aren’t any undefeated teams to put ahead of Bama, besides Clemson, and they are a better one-loss team than Ohio State.

“and they are a better one-loss team than Ohio State”

Based on what, exactly? They’ve done nothing except receive fellatio from ESPN for playing a bunch of teams who are overranked to start the season (Auburn, UGA both top 10). They just lost at the right time, albeit to a shitty team. If OSU had lost to Maryland and then won out, they’d be in the playoff. I don’t think “better” is the right word. Maybe “better set up to make the playoff”

If OSU had to play Wisco, Ole Miss, Georgia, Arkansas, A&M, Tennessee, LSU, Miss State, Auburn and Florida, I am almost certain they would have lost more than one game. OSU plays two or three losable games every year and still loses one or two. Nearly every opponent Bama faced this year could have been a fat loss if they didn’t deliver.

Dude, none of these teams are actually good this year. Georgia, LSU, Auburn and A&M are god awful and don’t even get me started on Florida. Horrible QB play in the SEC. Stop seeing big names and just assuming they’re quality opponents.

They’re not just random “big name” teams. They’re teams that get top 15 recruiting classes every year, have excellent coaches and are good for at least a couple big games a year. Every game in the SEC too is basically a rivalry game because the coaches/teams have so much history playing each other. Easy for you to say LSU sucks from another conference where I’m sure you never had to face Leonard Fournette

You’re a typical hater. Everyone puts godly expectations on every team in the SEC then loses their shit if they dont live up to truly unrealistic standards. The SEC top to bottom is the most talented conference with the most solid teams, best coached and top recruits.

Bottom line is NO team in the country would have been undefeated with Bama’s schedule and I would argue Clemson of OSU could have even dropped one or two. Shit Clemson barely squeaked past SCAR this weekend. SCAR also beat UNC who happens to be otherwise undefeated and leading the Coastal Division. And this is SC’s worst season in ages, we’re truly the bottom of the east and we still gave the ACC’s two top teams an even fight. Suck that loser pussys

Bro, nus? but you are fucking yourself pretty good if you are lead to believe if any team in the nation had to play Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Florida, and A&M all straight in a row they would be unbeaten.

Bottom line: When you only play two relevant schools all season (Michigan/Michigan st.) you better win both games.

How many relevant schools has Alabama played? It’s not their fault, it’s the committee/ESPN who continually ranks SEC schools top 10 over and over without ever punishing them for scheduling awful OOC teams. The system still sucks.

That’s rich. Ohio State’s schedule is complete garbage and one of the weakest in the country. They lost to the first ranked team they played. Almost all of those teams were ranked when Alabama played them. They became unranked of dropped off after they LOST to Alabama.

How do you draw the line at Iowa? They demolished Northwestern which is better than any win Bama has, AND also beat Wisconsin, which you can argue is Bama’s best win. Oh, and they also haven’t lost a single game. Bama should be the 4th ranked team at best.

So you’re saying Northwestern is better than basically the SEC west and Georgia? You’d honestly take Iowa over Bama if they were to play each other?

10 years ago at 3:41 pm
      1. BronusWagner

Yes actually, I am saying Northwestern is better than most teams in the SEC West besides Bama and Ole Miss and definitely better than Georgia. Hell, I think Penn State would even compete with Georgia.

Oh yea Wisconsin and Northwestern are real good. Northwestern is awful can’t score to save their life and I have no clue how they are top 25. Wisconsin isn’t going to be ranked. UT demolished Iowa last year. All I have to say is Iowa is garbage. Any team in the SEC, except Vandy could get a 10 win season in their schedule

“Any team in the SEC, except Vandy, could get a 10 win season in their schedule.”

You are either the biggest SEC dick-rider of all time, fucking delusional, or most likely both if you actually believe that.

There’s absolutely no way you could actually make a sound argument that South Carolina, Kentucky, Mizzou, or Auburn would get 10 wins with Iowa’s schedule. I could honestly probably include more than those four, too.

All I’m saying is that even Bama’s basketball team has already beat more ranked teams than Ohio State’s football team.

We may be a “garbage 12-0” but why weren’t any of the currently ranked teams with even easier schedules than us able to do the same then?
