Clemson Creates Heisman Résumé For Quarterback Deshaun Watson

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson is already living the good life. He’s quarterbacking the number one team in the nation and reaping all the benefits that go with that responsibility on and off the field. Not surprisingly, the sophomore quarter is also a candidate for the Heisman, and Clemson is doing everything it can to get him the trophy.

The university tweeted out a legitimate looking résumé for Watson on Thursday to help swing on-the-fence Heisman voters.

I too have “winning” and “being clutch” listed on my résumé. I have not received any calls back.

The résumé makes a strong case for Watson, although they could have saved space by leaving the pointless education part out. Also, no mention of Watson being named Player of the Year on Wednesday? Either they’ve been working on this résumé since Sunday and failed to update it or they felt that honor was less important than education. What a bunch of nerds.

To be fair, Watson has been a beast for the Tigers. By throwing for more than 3,200 yards, rushing for more than 750 and amassing 36 touchdowns combined, he’s definitely a strong candidate in anyone’s eyes. Alabama’s Derrick Henry is still going to win the Heisman, but sure, Clemson, I applaud the effort..
