Here’s Antonio Brown Demolishing His Nuts In An All-Time Great Touchdown Celebration
I’ve seen some great touchdown celebrations over the years. Most were well planned out and executed to perfection. They all involve some complexity, though. A little bit of thought went into how their celebration would find itself trending on Twitter as a touch above the rest. For example, here’s Joe Horn’s cell phone celebration from what feels like a century ago.
Then there’s the more recent Drew Stanton impromptu celebration. This one wasn’t planned in the least; he just let the emotion do as it pleased.
Now we have Antonio Brown’s touchdown celebration from last night. It doesn’t fit anything we’ve ever seen before, and it hit me with a range of emotions. On one hand, I can’t help but perform a little involuntary penile recoil for every loop of the Vine. On the other, I’m amazed that such a barbaric, absurd celebration has me debating naming it in my top five all-time celebrations. It’s just incredible.
That’s a no-fear, nuts-first, spread-eagle leap into the goal post. There’s no rhyme or reason, and for reasons I cannot quite pinpoint, this has me absolutely rolling right now. I can’t stop watching it.
It won’t receive a single point for finesse, but the unforeseen absurdity of it will take this one a long way in the touchdown celebration history books. It would be a first-ballot hall of famer for me..
